Very aromatic with notes of apple and a floral sweetness. Take a moment to relax with this classic herbal tea. Camomile flowers are reputed to reduce insomnia and stress while boosting the body's immune system
Lemon & Ginger
A blend of lemon peel and ginger pieces that makes a strong citrus and ginger infusion. There is so much flavour that this blend can be reinfused another three or four times. So much more real and strong than any Lemon and Ginger flavoured teabag. A refreshing caffeine-free drink

Ambience is what you're paying for here. The service was very good, tea excellent, and food was great (if not anything truly spectacular). But, if you are tourist, looking for what you imagine afternoon tea to be--this is it! A bit expensive, but given the surroundings, that's no surprise. Go here for a special occasion or the experience--but there are certainly cheaper options with tea and food as good or better...then, as I started, you're not paying for the tea here.

The food at Prestonfield’s is always great. The tea service is pretty awesome. From antique teapots to a lounge that feels like you’re in an old manor. Definitely a worthwhile escape from hustle of Edinburgh

Started badly as there was no record of our booking despite me having an email confirmation from Opentable. Apparently there are problems with this booking option!!! The afternoon tea however was lovely and very enjoyable.

As always, the Prestonfield’s atmosphere and ambience carries there experience. However the service on this occasion was notably slow. To their credit the staff were very apologetic and offered us free drinks by way of apology.

This was my second experience to enjoy afternoon tea at Prestonfield. It was splendid! We sat in the yellow room, the same room the Queen Mum used to sit in and enjoy her g + t. I had my cousin with me and it was a nice dainty time for the ladies. They spoil you with their many offerings, but outstanding above all were the cream puffs, strawberry tarts, and the scones with clotted cream! I tried a sandwich and a bite of the haggis rolls (kind of a savory bon bon), it was actually very tasty, but I digress. I came for the sweet treats, tea and a champagne cocktail to finish it off. If I ever return to Edinburgh, I will definitely come back to Prestonfield.

Website on open table stated £25 for afternoon tea. I was charged £30 each. I was charged £22 for each bottle of non alcoholic rose wine this non alcoholic wine sells in Sainsburys for £2:75 a bottle Very disappointed in this mark up. However, lovely setting and we enjoyed our afternoon tea.

Prestonfield House is an excellent venue in a tranquil setting. Went for afternoon tea to celebrate friend's retirement and wasn't disappointed. The room was exquisite, however, the table was not ideal but they had thought to provide side trays for stability of plates/glasses etc. Never been disappointed at this venue.

Prestonfield House is a place for sheer indulgence and luxury. This is the second visit for afternoon tea and yet again, it didn't disappoint. The staff are very attentive without being intrusive and you are given time to enjoy your sumptuous surroundings. Definitely worth recommending and revisiting.

Fantastic location and lovely ambience in front of roaring fire. January afternoon tea offer includes a free glass of champagne which was a bonus. Service excellent (head concierge great at providing some history on the hotel and its contents). If they could improve the sandwiches to support the £20pp price, definitely would be 5 star.

Excellent overall however we felt the bread was rather dry and not we would have enjoyed it more with a little more filling . Would have preferred more sandwich to cakes however in saying that the scones were delicious .

Afternoon tea at Prestonfield House could not have been any better. We sat on the deck overlooking the grounds with birds singing on a sunny day. The setting and tea service was great.

This was the first time we visited Prestonfield House and we were impressed by the gothic atmosphere of the place. We had our afternoon tea in an old room with impressive heavy furniture and old tapestries on the walls. The afternoon tea was really good with a good selection of sandwiches, scones and sweets. I would definitely recommend the afternoon tea experience and will look to come back in the future.
