   The food was wonderful as with all the other times that we have visited Backfin. The new menu items are as awesome as the older items that are still available to order. Service is always impeccable. Even new employees are trained to a level of service that you’ve come to expect. Sure to return!

   Excellent food in a nice outdoor setting. The deck was excellent and provided the perfect backdrop to an incredible meal. Service was very friendly and prompt.

   Marvelous meal. One of the best I have had in a long time. All staff was friendly and attentive. Even the chef, who made a point of making sure the patrons were satisfied with the meal. If i could give even more stars i would. Bravo!

   Sitting on the side porch catching the outdoor live music from Granite Run across the street made for a great time. The Basil Pesto wings were the best wings of Ny type I've ever had. Heidi provided very pleasant attention and hospitality.

    It is a cute place and most of the food was good. The service was very slow. We were there for 3 hours and left immediately after paying the check. I live 35 minutes away, so it’s not worth a trip back.

    We love it at Backfin Blues!!! The kitchen was slammed last night but the apps and entrees were worth the wait. WOW!!!! We love how the chef and kitchen puts its own flare on the dishes. Great job!!!!

    We sat on the side porch and loved the ambiance out there. Our server was attentive and took great care of us. All great restaurants are expensive now, we understand, but would have loved a handful more of the mussels. BTW the mussels and steak au poive were excellent! Great beer and wine lists too! Next time we’re going to request Bananas Foster sooner.

    We always prefer bar seating and reservations allow us to choose that. A little bit of a tight fit at the bar but the food, service, and small town vibe is always worth it. Great dinner and excellent service.

    First time diners - The place is in a very nice little town; really cute area. Was very nice to have our special request for seating arrangements heeded. Big plus. Our server was new to the job, and has room to grow but was pleasant and helpful. No issues. Food was not warm - wasn't cold but certainly sat for a period of time after being prepared. The price of the food is probably twice what the value is in terms of taste. Seabass was fine - a few bones but flavour was good; if only it was served warmer. A spicy crab soup was room temperature (server reduced cost by 50% - nice gesture). Was not especially spicy. the bread-and butter basket had bread so completely hard and crunchy it was more like croutons than bread rolls. Over-all our about $75 tab felt much higher than we should have paid based on the quality of food. Taking the costs of the drinks away - food only, we're at about $55 for the three items. Blazin soup at $10 seems about right (if it were warm). The Ahi was unremarkable but not bad at $13, wasn't totally over-priced; might-should have been a $10 item, but the blackened sea bass at $32 was absolutely twice the price it should have been based on taste, presentation, and quality.

    We decided to take a drive to Port Deposit and try Backfin Blues. It was worth the trip. They even accommodated a last minute change to our reservation (I called ahead to modify for a party of 3 as our daughter decided to join us). The food was outstanding and Maura our server was exceptional (the appetizers she recommended were delicious!). Great cocktails menu. Highly recommend.

    Great place to eat. Everything we have tried there is delicious. The servers are very friendly, fast and knowledgeable. I have to give a huge shout out to Teno who was the bartender and our waiter. He was very knowledgeable and friendly and made the best Martinis!

    We eat here often and food and service are always very good. However, this time, the menu was not as exciting as it’s been previously. No great specials, no steak except the regular filets. The boneless pork chop on Thursday was tasty, but would have been even better if it had been on the bone and maybe thicker. Menu just seemed more ordinary than past choices. But…The shrimp scampi pasta was very good, the Caesar salad was excellent and the rolls were really delicious. We will definitely be back and look forward to changing menus.

    We had a wonderful experience. My husband had a $20 off for his birthday . We sat at bar and were highly entertained by the bar tender and had an excellent meal of pasta ala vodka and drinks. We will be back everyone was super friendly. Thanks to Tito (spelling) our bartender.

    Sierra was our server and she did a fantastic job! I had an omelette with crabmeat, spinach and provolone and it was delicious! My husband had the eggs Benedict with crabmeat and he very much enjoyed his as well. We will definitely be coming back to Backfire Blues for Sunday brunch!

    As always an excellent brunch. For a change I had the Oscar Omelette instead of the Eggs Benedict mainly because I have been disappointed recently in what had been my favorite hollandaise sauce. It had gone form the best I ever tasted to the usual mistake of too much lemon in the sauce. Well my omlette had a dab of hollandaise on it and - sure enough- it had a strong lemon flavor in stead of just a hint. However, the omelette itself was outstanding, truly the best I have ever had, a perfect blend crab, asparagus, and asiago cheese I keep hoping they get back to the original chef's recipe for the hollandaise which was a masterwork so I can enjoy the Eggs Benedict again.
