   The food was good but the service (kitchen and not wait staff) and price was high. It took 2 hours to eat 2 courses. Way too much dead time. We’ve had more unique offerings for the price elsewhere.

   Too many staff involve in the order process and not one go to server to take care of your order. Server seems to not care being there and not focus at all. To much of a hipster spot that charges way to much of their quality. Can replace class and experience. ( El Gaucho, The Met)

   One of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Seattle. Incredible service as they guide you through the myriad steak choices. The beef fat old fashioned, psoas minor, and potato ice cream were all highlights.

   This restaurant is totally overpriced , the meat is ok nothing impressive , small dishes . The service was the worst . We waiting more than 30 min for aperol spritz and the waitress was unhappy all the time . After dinner we waiting for the bill more than 30 min and the restaurant was empty (the waitress just ate at the bar talking and he didn’t notice we were there ) Too expensive , bad service . We visited from California and we decided this restaurant because we saw the reviews and I felt so disappointed.

    Fabulous steaks, delicious cocktails, wine, and appetizers, and excellent service! Though it was a bit noisy/lively, the atmosphere still led to a wonderful evening with family visiting. We were celebrating a couple of birthdays, and upon being seated we noticed a hand-written birthday note; a nice personal touch. I would definitely return for a special occasion!

    One of the best meals I’ve ever had. Some of the best, knowledgeable service I’ve ever had. Servers really really know they’re stuff! Fantastic ambiance in the room. The food was all to die for, well worth the price tag! Can’t recommend this place enough for steak lovers. Simply just blown away.

    Very cool and unique place! My friend and I were here to celebrate an important milestone in our lives. The place is as advertised and we were pleasantly surprised by the uniqueness of the place, including the Keanu, how meat is served, and how knowledgeable the servers are. Will come again!

    Food was lukewarm. Steak was filet mignonette but full of sinew and not tender. It was cooked perfectly but not flavorful. Cheesy mashed potatoes tasteless and mostly cheese. Trying to serve and the cheese strung out at least 9 inches. Mushrooms and butter lettuce salad were good and interesting. Very surprised how unimpressed we were with the meat.

    The wait staff was superb, as was the ambiance. The potato chips were great, but the jerky tasted like day-old Jack's brisket. The mushrooms were terrific. The filet was fine but nowhere near worth the price. The top sirloin was ordered medium rare but came back medium well. The food was definitely not worth the price

    I treated my s/o to a birthday dinner here. We opted for the Chef’s Tasting Menu & Wine Pairing. There were 6 items brought out consecutively; each paired with its own wine. A la carte we shared a steak tartare and had a couple of Negroni cocktails. The service was impeccable and the food was amazing. I highly recommend!

    I have visited bateau for various celebrations with both my partner and in laws. We have done the tasting menu and a la carte. The steak is incredible and the custom butter selections take it to the next-level. Not only are the steaks delicious but the sides are as well. We tried the French onion croquettes, beef liver mousse, fries, potato chips, and kohlrabi. The potato chips are a must-order, so delicious. We also enjoyed the kohlrabi, fries and croquettes too. We would return for the next special occasion.

    Went here for our anniversary. We arrived early but were seated immediately. The service was great. The drinks were delicious and the selection of wines was nice. Every dish was absolutely delicious. Our favorite was the steak tartare.

    Overall a "meh" experience. As our usual experience with Renee Erickson's restaurants our initial impression after not being greeted or even acknowledged for a few minutes was disappointed. We had good energy entering but was met with super low energy of the staff which paired with the somewhat sterile environment brought us down a smidge. FYI, possibly to my lack of fully reading about the restaurant there are only so many cuts of beef placed on a board from which to choose from. We had 8pm reservations so our choices were limited. We had the beef liver mousse, the croquets, porterhouse, frites, and the fried broccoli. The only thing I would have again would be the fries. Everything else lacked the level of flavor I was expecting. The $280 30oz porterhouse was super disappointing as it was more rare than medium rare and it lacked seasoning and flavor. Our server was cordial. We won't be back and I won't be recommending it to anyone. FYI, take an uber or walk, parking is horrible.

    Food was good but service was sub-par. Never offered a cocktail or anything beyond water, energy of the server was sad, there was no interest in him making a good experience for us. A couple of the other servers seemed to have much better attitudes. Advice and steak recommendation was off (granted the flavor was right) but the level of fat and chewiness was not what we wanted.

    Wow! This is not just another steakhouse. The space is amazing with views of future steaks. The appetizers had great variety and were excellent. The steaks perfect. The service was just the right balance of attention and space. We will definitely be back.

    We love Bateau and have been several times. This may be unique to us, but they seated us by the bathroom in a corner. That is understandable. Someone has to. However, our waitress very rarely came by. We saw a roaming manager more often than our waitress. The food was wonderful, except a chickpea pancake appetizer which was actually burned. It took a long time for our steak to come out. It was delicious. It then took quite a while to get that cleared. We really wanted dessert. They gave us a dessert menu and didn't return for about 15+ minutes so we just asked for the check. Overall, Bateau is wonderful. I hope this was just one not so great experience.

    Bateau is one of my favorite establishments to take guests from out of town, have celebrations and book some occasional dinners. The staff always makes the experience quite memorable each time. We came in for this occasion to celebrate my sister’s birthday. She loved everything from the Beef Liver Mousse, Hama Hama + Bluepoint Oyster and the various dry aged cuts offered. It was her first time visiting and she was extremely impressed with the quality of the food and service.
