   While the food itself was well prepared and tasty for the most part (and if that's all you care about, then you'll enjoy it), unfortunately, the actual teppanyaki chef performance was about as lackluster as it gets. No shrimp tail toss in hat, no balancing and catching the egg on the spatula for fried rice, no knife and spatula twirling/banging intro, no heart beat fried rice, no flipping food for customers to catch, and very little interaction at all from the chef. Only the onion volcano was provided and few other salt shaker tricks. The service was fine, but they were out of iced tea (odd at an establishment of this caliber) and several sodas. Fried rice upcharge seemed heftier than I recall as well. Sushi was ok, but a little saturated with spicy mayo which overpowered it. Unfortunately, there are many other options for great teppanyaki in the greater north Indianapolis area with better food and a much better show and I will be heading to those moving forward.

   Our Server neglected us, he never brought us our appetizers and our drinks that we ordered upon arrival came after the main course. Our chef was not entertaining and our food wasn’t made with love due to it being over seasoned.

   Food was average. At Benihana, you pay for the experience - our cook was just that. She cooked. The chairs were all broken, everything was sticky and the bathrooms in need of repair. The table next to us couldn't be used because the ceiling was leaking. Bad value.

    We went for Mother’s Day and took the kids who enjoy the atmosphere. We were charged for all our kids a le carte. The meals include steamed rice but they charged us $5 per kid on top of the $16 meal. I didn’t catch it as my husband paid the bill. The issue is it’s ALWAYS an issue with my bill when we come and it’s beyond frustrating.

    The carpet is sticky and greasy, which made the overall ambiance disgusting. We felt as though our shoes were going to stick to the floor and come right off our feet. The wait staff didn’t take plates away from the table so we had to get creative in how we could eat comfortably. The drinks had very little liquor; they were heavily watered down. Food was ok. We spent $350 and do not believe it was worth it. The hibachi experience is always neat. Our chef was great…best part of the dining experience.

    My first impression was not very good. While walking to the table our feet was sticking to the carpet and overall appearance just seemed to be dirtier than expected. The service was very slow and didn't have much time to spend at our table. The food was not worth the price. Way over priced. Cost around $250 for five people. Would not recommend.

    We ordered a 6 course meal and our waiter didn't seem to know what comes with that. We had to keep asking for things when the waiter seemed to think he was done bringing things. We shouldn't have to ask for any of it. The other people at our table didn't even get all their courses but didn't say anything. The chef wasn't great either. vegetables were good, but not the rest. The food was spicy, but lacking flavor at the same time. I've had way better hibachi. Definitely not worth the price.

    Food was overcooked and the chef took his time preparing the food. Probably our worst experience there (and we can been coming for a decade) and likely won't be back for awhile.

    This was my first time, it’s worth it. We have Josh do our food at our open table. Excellent attitude, very polite, very very funny! We loved it so much, we appreciate the supervision from the supervisor being 100% there.

    Our server was awful. We sat down with a full table at 7:50 and didn’t get any ordered drinks for 50 minutes. He also would say he’d be back around to fill up waters and disappeared for 20 minutes. Our food was fabulous though.

    We had a rough experience this time for my granddaughters 15th birthday party for a party of 8. For over $400 in food, this was definitely a subpar experience and no accommodations were made for the constant fumbles with our party. Unfortunately we had a chef who did not speak or understand English very well so communicating with her was very difficult. We had someone in our party who was allergic to eggs and does not eat meat who requested that her food not be cooked near either of those items as well as not using utensils that had been used to cook the meat and eggs. The chef started mixing the chicken in with the rice in front of us, but remembered and then started to just scrap out the chicken pieces that had been mixed with the rice as if we didn't see this with our own eyes! We asked that she simply get another, clean spatula to cook the non meat rice with, but she said she can't get another one, but again communicating that was VERY DIFFICULT due to her not understanding or speaking much English. There were a series of mishaps that happened after this that are too many to mention but after almost 3 hours there, it was very slow and painful to get all of the food done and when it was the rice was now cold. The manager came over to "remedy" some of the situation, but ended up being very snarky about our complaints as well. We never received our ice cream at the end of dinner, nor the normal "show" that most chef's put on for each table. Needless to say, this was NOT a pleasant experience.

    They have got new stuff. But they are rude the food was burnt and the waiter was new and did know what he was doing. And had too many tables. The manager was rude, very disrespectful and maybe didn’t like her job or customers. Everybody at my table was unhappy to the service and customer service. Also we driven 2 hours to get there😤😡😡

    Unfortunately they were understaffed last evening. Our reservation was for 6:45pm, we checked in at 6:40pm. We were seated at 7:25. Our order wasn’t taken until 7:50. We didn’t get to leave until about 9:15pm. I know it wasn’t our servers fault, but the time lapse should be addressed.

    The restaurant was very noisy. We had to shout to talk to each other the entire night. Chicken was tough and flavorless. One person at the table had to ask them to cook her shrimp longer as it was raw in the middle. And ice cream tasted freezer burnt. Getting refills was slow. And there was a problem with the credit card payment device. I have been coming here for years but it has definitely gone downhill. I doubt that I will return.

    The lady that was our chef was rude and did not interact with us at all and her chefs coat was stained and dirty and the food had absolutely no flavor as we have been to other hibachi places that have exceeded our expectations and we drove 3 hours to get to benihana for our 25th anniversary and were extremely disappointed.

    Service: The waiter was nice but we thought the service was bad. Waiter did not know the menu, provide any inside on how to read it or suggest any hibachi experience. He took forever to bring our food, drink, etc. The food was a bit salty and over cooked. Ambiance: Restaurant looked organized but not clean. The walls and window trim had a lot of moisture with residual grease. My niece even asked "why is there sticky, gooey water on the wall?" This location can easily stop cutting corners. Expectations not met. Not sure if we will be back!

    Service was painfully slow - 30 minutes from when were seated until they first acknowledged us and brought us water! Entire meal took over two hours. Everyone was trying - looked like just lots of inexperienced workers. The food was good….. but the veggies were stone cold by the time we got the meat because it was slow. They just need some more practice. And the whole dining room just looks kind of tired and greasy. Signs of the times, I guess…
