The only thing that I didn’t like was the place of our table. There were two separate tables out of the main area and we were seated there. Just the ambiance it’s not the same. It was colder.
Best Italian restaurant in London! I highly recommend, everything was phenomenal.
I had a reservation for two last night for dinner. Within the reservation note i had alerted the restaurant to the fact that this was for a birthday, and under the special requests i asked for the dessert ordered to be decorated with a happy birthday message with a candle/ sparkler. I subsequently called on the day to ensure and confirm this would take place.
On arrival of the dessert i was shocked and utterly disappointed that none of my above request was executed. I am extremely upset and disappointed that this was not carried out, it was for my partner's birthday and it definitely ruined the evening for me, and quite frankly it is an embarrassment. A restaurant as yours, claiming to be the finest Italian dining in Mayfair amplifies just how much of a let down this was and it is simply unforgivable. Any restaurant should be able to carry out the above, but in particular a claimed 'fine dining' restaurant - there is a certain expectation for better, but this restaurant was a let down.
At the end of the evening, having paid the bill, i complained to the floor manager and yet again i was disappointed. The response i received on this complaint was a minimal effort apology, shrugging of his shoulders, no sincerity or willingness to rectify this, except an offer to come back for another meal - which i declined - i will ensure that i will not be visiting this restaurant again.
Overall, this was an unexpectedly appalling evening with equally appalling service. I hope improvement is made from this.
It’s a great place for to celebrate your birthday. All the food so good
Interior of restaurant is beautiful, and so is the food. Great service. Pizza is fantastic. We had Margharita and Pepperoni. Linguine with clams was great. The side arugula/rocket salad with Parmesan and Balsamic was a real surprise star. One of the best things was the bread, which is essentially pizza, but fantastic with butter. Nice wine list. Go.
A really great restaurant - good atmosphere and decor very stylishly.
Helpful, attentive staff from hostess to waiter
Great Italian food and well presented, foccacia to start with a few starters recommended by our charming waiter to share. Very enjoyable menu, highly recommend
Eaten here a few times Service is always excellent, and food is always good. Rare to find consistency in London like this, highly recommend
A fabulous evening with my partner at this stylist Italian. Friendly service, knowledgeable staff and very well presented food. We are coming back to bring my daughter
Great location and a very airy dining experience with the double height ceiling which ensures that the ambient noise levels are low. Lovely food and wine as expected.
Everything was good except than the service the last booking was 10:30 and at 12 they were making us with their attitude to leave the restaurant they were start cleaning bringing us the bill without asking it saying “do you need something else because i want ro go home”
Amazing dining experience, will definitely be back.
I'm a big Italian food fan and this restaurant was superb. The food was generous portions and all really well cooked we couldn't fault it. Great ambiance, location and service to give a well rounded package which we will be returning to soon. Service was alert and quick we felt very well looked after,
A really enjoyable spot for authentic Italian food - excellent location and offering to match. The service was charming and the staff were so helpful, we were made to feel very comfortable. Our meals were perfectly cooked and the wonderful waiter in the suit helped us choose a suitable wine to pair. Three courses (!) later and we were both completely satisfied.
A great local spot and really excellent lunch.
Mix of business suits and casual diners in this Berkeley Street restaurant. Great ambiance; not too loud and very accommodating with table preference.
The food was very well presented and cooked perfectly, compliments to the chef on the tagliatelle ragu. An impressive and well thought through menu. Highly recommend
Good food and service. Unnecessary live Music made conversation difficult.
Over priced wine.
Bright new restaurant in Mayfair..
Genuine food, good service and modern design.. recommended 😉
Sub average dining experience. Not a good sign when you've had to send back your starter twice for raw pasta. Couldn't even call it al dente. Tuna tartar drowned in oil and left untouched.
We were told the Head Chef wasn't working that Saturday evening. Bit of a worry!
Service is average. Hard to distiguish between a normal high street pizzeria unfortunately.
Starters were good, the tempura prawn in particular. The pasta course was a disappointment with the pasta cooked too al-dente and the cod having an overbearing portion of lentils. Service was very disappointing having to wait 10 mins at times to get staff attention to order food and drinks as well as the bill. The restaurant was half full so this made the lack of attention difficult to accept. Our bill was priced incorrectly with additional items on it. The restaurant did take care of this but again, it made the whole experience feel very underwhelming. Shame, as this had been a recommendation from family and friends.
Food was excellent. Service not that goed. Unfortunately there were 2 items on the bill that we didn’t ordered.
The level of noise made almost impossible to have a conversation. We left restaurant tired of the noise and rushed by waitresses and waiters. Plus on top of that staff was dropping everything.
Was cold outside and on reception no one ask about to put coat to the clock room. Food was ok but overal too pricey to feel like in chains pizza places.
I had an amazing time, the food was really good and the icing on the cake was the live music. Look forward to visit you guys very soon.
Superb lunch, we had the set menu for lunch and have to say the choice, presentation and quality of the dishes were excellent. The burratina was superbly creamy and my pasta main was cooked to perfection, al dente as it should be. I would highly recommend and return soon
This restaurant didn't disappoint! We had a fantastic lunch on Thursday - the service is excellent and the crowd is nice for a lunch setting in Mayfair, mix of suits, couples and groups so very comfortable. Plenty of room and nice big tables.
The food is excellent and the menu has a great choice, veal milanese was perfectly cooked and a really generous portion. We also tried the truffle mash which was 5 stars on its own.
Be back soon
Great quality of choice, excellent service time and time again - highly recommend, go for the burrata and stay for the wine!
A charming, Italian gem well located in Berkeley Street - we went for lunch and the service was excellent. Our waiter was knowledgable and helpful without being overbearing at all, he helped us choose a delicious wine with our meal and made sure our glasses were topped up. We were made to feel very welcome and comfortable for a good gossip with my friend. Excellent food well presented and tasty
Started badly. Went to the ladies and no toilet paper at 12.55 before main lunch rush. Checked other ladies toilet. Also no
Paper. Told waitress. Joined by our friends who went to ladies 30 minutes later and complained still no paper!
First course took nearly one hour to arrive. The fourth member of our group was served later because of a special request noted when booking and again when ordering.
Service slow and unprofessional and understaffed.
Main course of pasta cooked so a’ l dented as to be inedible.
In summary over priced and shambolic
When we complained about these issues we were met with justification rather than apologies.
Had the impression that because we had the special offer menu we were shunted into a corner and ignored.
Will never go here again
The service was lovely and the decor of the restaurant was perfect. However, we both felt the price of the dishes was not reflected in the quality of the food.
I’ve been to this address several times (£200 average bill for 2 ) since last year and everything went well, nice Italian recipes and good wine list with professional sommelier. However I didn’t enjoy yesterday as I’ve been pushed out of my table in a nice alcove, just a few minutes after sit, by the receptionist who said this table was reserved to someone else. Being here with my wife for a romantic Friday evening dinner, I felt not special enough to be just pushed out, but being offered a table, in a dark corner, next to a business meeting group and the rack of fresh fish, I found that tremendously disrespectful and humiliating.
They made us feel uncomfortable, like estimating we’re not good enough to spend our money in this place. We immediately left for another Italian address, properly professional and aware of what means hospitality in restaurant business. Will never go back.
Service terrible, one mistake after another.
Really ace evening spot for a quiet dinner, food has something for everyone and all the dishes we tried were top quality. Would recommend and come again soon
We walked past by chance and are so glad to find Bocconcino,
The restaurant is really beautiful and a lovely ambiance to be in, service is friendly from greeting to bill, and they have a great selection of choice.
The service is helpful and knowledgeable about the menu; we had a great meal and our dishes were cooked perfectly (rare tuna special mention!).
Would highly recommend and next time im in town stop by!
Great recommendation from my work colleage
Easy to get to , and centrally located on Berkeley Street by Green Park.
The restaurant is beautiful and we were nicely greeted on arrival.
Really clear menu with a good but not confusing selection of Italian dishes.
Delicious food that we ordered; starters of burrata and carpaccio, had to be a pasta main with ragu for me! Everything was cooked perfectly and we didn't wait long between courses and weren't rushed. Drinks came quickly and our waiter was on hand whenever we needed.
Overall great evening with excellent food and service,
I enjoyed quite a lot to have dinner at the Bocconcino. Good, professional and prompt service, delicate and exquisite food, fine Italian wine. I appreciated the cosy and elegant furniture. I wanted a quiet restaurant, not too noisy, it was then just perfect!
Perhaps it was a little too expensive for me, but once at a time it is worth going at the Bocconcino and enjoying delicious food.
I'll come back as soon as possible at your place, as soon as I 'll have planned a new trip to London.
On arrival we were told that our sitting was 1hr 45 mins which isn't the most welcoming start. We ordered and our food was all fine and arrived promptly but my wine didn't arrive until we had finished our starter and I had reminded someone that I had ordered it. Best part of the meal was the chocolate fondant dessert. All in all it's very overpriced for what you get, and actually a little bit tacky.
Our food came out cold, when we told our waiter they took the food back to the kitchen and heated it up instead of giving us fresh dishes. There was little atmosphere and prices are extremely high for the quality of food, my pasta was something I would expect to eat in a high street Italian restaurant. I wouldn’t recommend, there are lots of other great Italian restaurants in London for a quarter of the price.
We went for the set menu and the food was delicious. I had the steak with onion and raisin sauce which sounds strange but was delicious. The food is reasonably priced but the wine list caters toward expense accounts so only some of us had 1 glass each.
An excellent restaurant which is hidden away and is deceptively big. Excellent service and delicious food.
Wonderful atmosphere. Both chic and kids friendly. Great appetizers.
Very nice place good food will go again
Beautiful food, good wine & very attentive service.
