Clyde's of Reston
Food was rather bland...and both tasted like they were from the same MIX...not a fan, very disappointed
We came for brunch. Michael W was our waiter and he was great. Very personable and attentive.
The half chicken dinner got rave reviews. I had the french onion soup and harvest salad and my son had a salad with chicken. Drinks were great and nice atmosphere. We would recommend and will return.
Food is fine. Service was terrible.
I think Brittany was having a bad day. She was short with her responses and made it feel like we were inconveniencing her by being there.
Took over 45 minutes for kids pasta, a salad, bowl of chili and Brussels sprouts to come to the table.
Had to ask multiple times to get water refilled, let alone additional drinks that were paid for.
Trying to pay the bill took another 15 minutes of waiting for her to come back to the table and the restaurant was busy but not overly so.
DYnamite experience -- service personnel, food, all made for a great celebration dinner
My entree was excellent, my wife’s was just ok. The service was good and everything else was perfect!!
Fish and chips portion was too small given it was in a thick bread batter. The volume of fish was really tiny for the price.
Great location with great food and service. Enjoyed our lunch there.
The service was terrible. Wrong food brought to one in party. Had to ask "where is our food....everyone ordered off the sandwich menu one off reg. menu....spent TWO hours for the dinner and we we did not 'linger".
It took a long time for our meals to be served so the manager comped us a dessert.
We have been coming to Clyde's for many years and always have an excellent experience. It's worth the trip just to have their wonderful crab cakes. We will, of course, be back soon.
The food and service were excellent! Clydes is one of the few restaurants in this area that is consistently good.
I would highly recommend it to any one.
Usually wonderful this time not so. Out of duck and ravioli so we ordered steak and hamburger. Was not great. You can do better than this Clydes
Love Clyde’s! Favorite restaurant at Reston Town Center and other locations. It’s an area gem and always reliable for excellent food and great service. Highly recommend.
Had the duck but it was overcooked. Everything else was fine.
kids missed cranberries they said ran out. Overall all much better this year. Seemed organized in seating people. Last year way to crowded and had to wait quite a while in bar area for our reserved table
All I can say is that the dining experience was both mediocre and disappointing. I have been a patron of various Clyde’s for many years, and will be again, but not for a special occasion (this was Thanksgiving). It started when we had to wait well past our reservation time for a table. Once seated, we waited and waited before seeing a waitress again. Once served, my wife was happy with her strip steak, but I was not so with my steak salad. I thought both meals were overpriced. All in all, this was not a good experience.
This was our Thanksgiving dinner with our son who is active duty Navy. This was our first Thanksgiving together in six years because he just returned from a three deployment in Japan. It was memorable.
Thanksgiving dinner was disappointing as they ran out of both sweet potatoes and cranberries. What is Thanksgiving without cranberries?
No, the calamari and the crab cakes were too salty. The French fries were barely edible. I only ate them cuz I was hungry. The service was terrible.
We had a reservation but were not seated until 30 minutes after. The service was good, the food arrived quickly for how busy they were. The food was good, but didn't blow me away.
My husband ordered the prix fixe Thanksgiving turkey dinner that honestly looked like it was one step above a cafeteria meal. I was truly shocked. I had a lamb shank that was very tender and flavorful, but cold. Our waitress was adorably sweet. Too bad we won't be returning to this location.
Thanksgiving dinner. Everything was perfect and the food was fabulous!
Food and service was great but the dining room was quite noisy. Couldn’t talk to others at our table
It was Thanksgiving, it was crowded. Service was extremely slow, no fault to our server. My husband and I got the Thanksgiving dinner while my brother-in-law and daughter ordered off the menu. Theirs seemed fine, ours was ice cold and our poor server was busting his a** so no complaints from us. Don’t think I’d go back on a holiday again.
We ate at Clyde's for thanksgiving day. Even though we made a table reservation over 4 weeks ago, we had to wait about 30 minutes. We both ordered the Thanksgiving day turkey dinner. It included turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, beans and gravy. Our server forgot to bring bread and even though the food was tasty, the turkey was cold. If it hadn't been so busy I would have sent it back for a hot version. The meal include desert which we both ordered the pecan pie with vanilla ice cream - excellent! Overall it was a good experience with a few disappointments. We will likely return!
We have been to Clyde's (in Reston and other locations) many times. As usual, on our most recent visit the food and service were exemplary. However, the visit was on Thanksgiving, which is probably one of their busiest days of the year. The restaurant was packed, with people constantly passing by and brushing our table and milling around near the front door waiting for a table. The noise level was almost unbearable. Our waitress (I wish I could remember her name) deserves kudos for her smile and good humor, as does the waiter who patiently served the grumpy and demanding table next to ours. Generally I would recommend Clyde's to anyone looking for good food and a pleasant experience. But just don't go there on Thanksgiving.
The service was outstanding all around from being promptly seated to having a very attentive waitress looking after us. The food on this occasion - the Thanksgiving turkey dinner - was not very good, ranging from greasy turkey to undercooked yams, however, the dessert was delicious. We are Clyde 'regulars' and will be back again when they are not as crowded as they were on Thankgiving Day!
We went for Thanksgiving and it was wonderful! From the food to the service provided by Paul. If I could give him 10 stars I would! Kudos to the kitchen staff as well. The food was pure perfection. Thank you for everything you did to make it a fantastic experience!
Food tasted like cafeteria food. Waiter was obnoxious. He told us his name four times and said don’t forget to ask go me next time you come in.
We were seated exactly as the time of our reservation. Even though the restaurant was packed, our food was served in a timely manner, was hot and delicious. I’d go there again
Great price for a full course turkey dinner and pie a la mode! Service a bit slow and never asked about a hot beverage or wine refill, and the turkey was a bit tasteless. A guy bussing revealed they had started the cooking two days prior, so I guess that caused the lack of juices and flavor. All in all, a nice traditional variety of food at a fair price.
Went for Thanksgiving. Food was very good.
An amazing time with out of this world food and drinks! Minnie was a wonderful waitress!!! We had the best time and I would highly recommend Clyde’s to everyone. It’s become our Thanksgiving tradition and I look forward to it every year!!!
Always great service, delicious food, very convenient location.
First date. Went great.
Our server did an excellent job - attentive but not obtrusive. Friendly but not overly so. Very nice attention to detail.
We feel that the food at this location has started to become less "special" and more common. Perhaps a bit more oily as well. We still enjoy the food here but a bit more in the past.
Service was phenomenal but my Filet was the toughest steak I had ever eaten. Salmon was cooked to perfection. Overall good but really upset about the steak
We met a friend at Clyde's in Reston for lunch, having not eaten at a Clyde's in several months. We had heard it had "changed" with its recent change in ownership; happily, we didn't notice any difference except that the lunch menu was for lunch - we assume there is a separate menu for dinner. Previously, one menu served both times. Our salads, wine, and expressos were the same good items we expected and the service was great! We will happily return.
It was a cold day and the restaurant was cold too! Many customers had their jackets on or draped over their shoulders.
Food was great and service too, as usual.
