   This is a very nice restaurant with delicious food. The atmosphere and views are amazing. I wish the deserts were made from scratch, in house for the price. The addition of a 5% surcharge is offensive. There is no chance the prices will be lowering. Just raise the prices on your menu to be 5% more. Inflation is effecing everybody, not just restaurants, and is fairly perminent.

   We were a little disappointed that a portion of the outdoor patio was closed for repairs when we arrived, but we were given a booth with a view of the water. The service was excellent (thank you, Tony!) and the food was delicious. The appetizer I ordered (potato flautas) was so rich and generous that I cancelled my dinner order. My husband loved the mussels and clams appetizer. It takes a little effort to get to this restaurant, but it is well worth it.

   Food selections were very interesting, empanadas were very good appetizer.. the seafood main course for 2, Paella was outstanding hard to finish it all. Had the pineapple upside down rum cake with the ice cream, very tasty! Of course very good margaritas and after dinner drinks as well. Pricy, a little but look at where your at! We will be back!!! Service was great as well.

   Had a visit celebrating a few things but most importantly a birthday. I reminded the host so I knew server knew. Server brought the check and I had to to ask server to bring the birthday dessert and it still took a while. When she finally brought it the birthday boy and others were gone from the table. We had to ask another server to light up candle for us because she did not care to come back. From the beginning this server was dry and unpleasant. Our calamari was extremely salty and this is coming from a person that eats very salty. She took it back and didn’t even apologize. Then we get our food and the food of one of the hot dishes was plain cold. Server asked my cousin “is this nasty too?” We were shocked he responded, no it’s cold! Honestly she just served like she didn’t want to be there. She would not respond to comments and just walk away, extremely unpleasant. A bit sad because I recommend the place and we were celebrating a new baby, a birthday and our 12 year anniversary. Not sure I can recommend a place anymore that makes you feel like you are pulling teeth when asking for the bare minimum. I know this place is great because I’ve been here many times. Such a shame a server like this can spoil the whole experience and that’s besides a couple of our dishes being inedible which we can understand if they make it right.

    The noise level made it impossible to maintain a conversation and we were seated facing a wall, so there was no view for thee members of our party. The food was not spectacular as we had dreamed some items were very good, others too spicey and the crispy carnitas was more like a piece of roast, very little crispines on it. My matgarita had a taste -obliterating salt and cayenne pepper coating on the rim of the glass which was quite distasteful.

    Paella was not good. Just a pile of dry rice with a sampling of shellfish. No chiroso or peppers or other spices. All other entrees were very good.

    We had a wonderful lunch out on the patio looking out to the San Diego Bay. Our food was delicious and the service was awesome.! We are definitely going back . Tuvimos un almuerzo maravilloso en el patio con vista a la bahía de San Diego. Nuestra comida era deliciosa y el servicio fue increíble.! Definitivamente vamos a regresar .

    Seafood tower disappointing in quality and presentation. Hardly worth price. Heirloom tomato salad mostly a Romaine chunked salad with an heirloom tomato cut around for decor. Not sure why the food continues to disappoint, as I continue to return and try other items, but lunch for 3, for $250, should be more memorable and enjoyable.

    We love the atmosphere at the restaurant - water view of the city is incredible especially after dark! Scallop entree was skimpy with only 3 scallops however the tuna appetizer was huge. Excellent Service! Noise level made it difficult to have a conversation at the table.

    The setting and service were 5 star—however the paella was very disappointing (skimped on the seafood, generous with rice). My buddy said the same was true of his carne asada. This was the first time I have been let down at a Cohn family restaurant.

    The hostess seemed bothered we got there early and wasn’t nice at any point thereafter. She’s the face of your restaurant and our first impression. Our server wasn’t any better. We didn’t feel like he was paying attention to us at all, he barely came by to check on us and mind you the place wasn’t busy at all. The food was pretty tasty but nothing special, maybe the bad service left a sour taste in our mouth. Awful way to end a beautiful vacation, their neighbor C-Level (who is somehow owned by the same company) was so much better, go there instead!

    We love celebrating our anniversary at Coasterra. We have many dietary issues but always have great food choices. That plus the location and excellent service make it wonderful and special.

    This is my FAVORITE restaurant! The views of San Diego and the bay are incredible. The food and drinks are delicious. The hostess (Chelsea) does an amazing job with seating and we had one of the best tables for the view at 4:00 in the afternoon on a Saturday in May. We were celebrating with our son as he graduated from the University of San Diego.

    Amazing food, best chicken enchiladas I have ever had. Liked the mole on top, reasonable portion, price on the high side but we already know it. My friend got the carme asada bowl and said it was delicious as well! The 2 hostess were very nice and accommodating when we asked to change table and be seated right by glass fence outside and admire the amazing view. It was a cloudy day but seating outside wasn’t too chilly not windy. We’ve been left alone almost the whole time, no one came asking hundreds questions, which I didn’t mind. Maybe they are understaffed, food took almost 30 mins tho

    We came for my husband’s birthday and they were able to get us a table that was 1) outside (we waited about 10-15 min more but we were down for that) and 2) and a direct view of the skyline. They also gave us a birthday dessert upgrade and it was incredible. The hostess was so nice and took pictures of us. We would come back 100% when we visit again.
