The carriage was repurposed during the Second World War as an ambulance carriage. Today it has returned to its original function as a dining carriage, reflecting the rich history of dining on the train. The Countess of York offers a unique experience and the perfect way to celebrate a special occasion. It can also be booked for private dining for up to eight guests in a specially set compartment of the carriage.
