Italian Soul. Local Ritual. If you are visiting Freehold or driving back from the Shore and want one Italian stop where the pizza, the beer, and the patio are all worth sitting down for, TRE is it.The brick oven runs all day. The Margherita comes out with DOP bufala pooling into the char marks on a blistered crust. The chicken parm caught the Food Network's attention. The orecchiette with sausage and broccoli rabe is the pasta the table fights over. The draft list changes weekly, and the bar has its own crowd on Thursdays. The patio has bocce, fire pits, and bench seating. Sunday brunch rolls a Bloody Mary cart between tables with a live band playing through it. Tuesday fills the dining room with families. The Parlor seats private parties up to 70. The food truck caters wherever the crowd lands.Built by the group behind Metropolitan Cafe's 25-year Freehold run. Wine Spectator recognized. TripAdvisor Travelers' Choice. Industry Magazine and Monmouth Health & Life featured.
