The Hospitality Institute at Montgomery County Community College features educational restaurant, Bistro 1964 which is operated seasonally by students in the Baking & Pastry Arts and Culinary Arts programs. Students plan, prepare, and serve all food and beverages as part of this capstone experience, applying techniques, skills, and procedures learned throughout their academic coursework. During the Fall 2025 semester, Bistro 1964 will be open for service to the community on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., beginning Wednesday, September 10 through Wednesday, December 10. Lunch is a Prix-Fixe menu, including guest choice of a first and second course, Chef’s dessert selection, and a beverage.
