The Refectory sits at the heart of Fowlescombe Farm. Here, seasonality and soil lead the way; our gardens and fields shaping every plate. Each day, Executive Chef Elly Wentworth crafts a four‑course set menu guided by what’s abundant right now, with much of what you'll taste grown or reared on our 450‑acre farm. What can’t be grown here is sourced from Devon suppliers who share our passion for hyper-local, sustainable produce. An open kitchen brings theatre to the long oak table, and dishes follow nature's rhythm: spring greens and lamb from the farm, autumn roots and orchard fruits, winter game and garden preserves. Dinner here takes a steady pace. Wander through the kitchen gardens. Pick botanicals for a pre-dinner cocktail in the Greenhouse or warm by the fire in the Farmhouse with a glass of red before dinner. Usually reserved for in house guests, we reserve just a handful of seats in the Refectory to external guests each evening, with dinner charged at £75 per person.
