August is a restaurant that sits in the old heritage church on Dornoch Terrace, West End. Our dining room is surrounded by objects, art, and the original pitched church ceiling and stained glass windows. Our menu is influenced by regional food from France, Italy and Spain.August is open for dinner from 5pm on Thursday - Saturday, and from 11:30am for lunch on Saturday and Sunday. We also offer a range of private dining experiences, and can accommodate 60 seated guests, or up to 80 for reception-style events. We look forward to welcoming you soon.

FICK Brewing Company is a local neighbourhood brewery with an indoor bar and a covered outdoor beer garden. The owners are Luxembourgish and Australian so the food is representative of that with the European-style street food such as hand-cut, double-cooked chips with Dutch Mayo, Tarte Flambees (French-style pizzas), Belgian Mussels and chips (Moules Frites), Currywurst (chopped Bratwurst with curry ketchup on chips), Farinata (North Italian chickpea pancake), as well as Wagyu beef burgers. The beer styles mainly hail from Belgium, but a solid Red IPA is on offer as well as a range of other locally produced spirits from all over Australia (including Lark, Hartshorn, and Never Never).All wines are from Hentley Farms in the Barossa Valley.

We had a fantastic private dinner for our 60th birthday. Rowena and her team displayed that attention to detail that made the night extra special. Flowers, menu and the great dinner was perfect. Awesome wine list too. Thank you

An absolute gem of a restaurant, this is the second visit, this time on a steak & frites night, but with the options of 'add ons' should you want them. The rump camp was extraordinarily tender, the Italian wine was perfect, and the venue (converted Church) is quaint. Brad & Matilda have carved out an extraordinary niche in the Brissy dining scene, can't wait to return!
