- LLindaHampshire •1 review5.06 dagen geleden gegetenWe sat in the garden under the marquee with our two dogs, who were given a giant bowl of water. I’m always appreciative of consideration given to pets. We both ordered the rump steak and fries - excellent! Great selection of beers on tap too. We do love the White Hart: the food is always quality and the staff are super nice and good at their jobs. 100% recommend and we will be back soon! - FFelicityHampshire •5 reviews4.0Gegeten op 16 jul 2026The Rope and Anchor is easily missed sitting just behind Poole Quay. We have always loved their Sunday lunches but on this occasion needed a nice cool place to have lunch in the heatwave. We were not disappointed. Even on a midweek lunch ordering a Malaysian curry, we had to wait, but our purpose was a good catchup gossip so the wait was not a problem. The wait was because we were presented with freshly pan fried chicken, in a curry sauce with the most amazing coriander rice. We added a salad and overall it was a superb lunch. I like my curry slightly hot and the waitress obliged with chilli flakes and chilli sauce . We loved it and will be back mid week and for Sunday Lunch. It has a traditional pub atmosphere, lots of wooden tables and when you have good freshly cooked food and good wines and beer, it's a hidden gem.Meer infoRope & Anchor££££• Gastropub• Poole•4,4
