Populairste Japanse restaurants in Jiyugaoka / Okusaka

This was our 1st time in Tokyo & were excited to try authentic Japanese cuisine! We were staying in Shibuya & wanted somewhere walking distance nearby. By chance, we booked Kappo Sanoya...it's located on a quiet street on the lower level of a small building, but don't let it's humble appearance fool you! Inside was a master Chef ready to create, educate & entertain his few guests (it holds 8 people max per sitting) Chef Masayuki Sano meticulously prepared each unique dish...we couldn't wait to try each one! The sake pairings were spot on matching without overpowering the dishes. We enjoyed our meal so much that while we were still there, we booked for the next night too! He amazed us again with a whole new menu! We feel blessed to experience top quality true Japanese cuisine! Arigato Chef 😋

We had a table by window and enjoyed a beautiful cherry blossom during the dinner. Food was nice and the service was very kind and professional. It was a really good time for all of us. Thank you.
