The Hind's Head is a traditional country village pub and restaurant serving freshly made food and quality local cask ales. We are a community owned and managed free house in a very picturesque Shropshire village. We have the more traditional areas of the pub with wood burning stoves, as well as a lovely restaurant and welcoming orangery for all our guests to enjoy food, drinks and good company. We offer two wine lists as well as a great selection of cask ales, lagers and ciders. The views from the front of the pub have a perfect picture post card view of St Chad's Church in the centre of the village. While we offer traditional pub classics like freshly made pies and fish and chips, we also regularly offer specials that our chefs create weekly and do a lovely Sunday roast dinner that is extremely popular. On Wednesday evenings we do different foods and events, please call to confirm the theme to ensure it's what your looking for it could be Tapas, Italian, a quiz night.

    The food at the Hare & Hounds Oakengates is absolutely amazing & the portion sizes are very good too. The pricing is very reasonable and affordable also. I would absolutely 10/10 recommend this lovely pub/restuarant for anyone looking for a lovely tasty home cooked meal with great service and a very friendly atmosphere. Honestly the best place ive been for food in a long time, absolutely love it.
