King Alfonso Xlll stopped by famous tavern in Cadiz ( Andalusian City) where he ordered a cup of wine. The Waiter covered the glass with a slice of cured ham before offering it to the king, to protect the wine from the beach sand, as Cadiz is a windy place.After drinking the wine and eating the tapa, the king ordered another wine " with the cover"

The wood panelling, exposed brick, intimate alcoves and candelit tables make for a cosy yet rustic ambiance. Our heritage as part of Davy’s wine merchants guarantees an extensive cellar, alongside the best in craft beers, premium spirits and soft drinks. Port is always decanted and Davy’s Old Wallop real ale is served in pewter tankards or half gallon copper jugs. We are a natural wine bar and restaurant in the heart of Soho - we change our menu weekly and cook with the seasons using the best ingredients the season has to offer. Our menu is an eclectic array of dishes that we're either in the mood to eat or that take inspiration from a dish we've enjoyed somewhere along our journey. Whatever it is, we aim for it to always be a combination of simple cooking and delicious flavours.. This keeps us excited, and what we do at Ducksoup fresh and lively. We search out characterful wines for our wine list and work with a small number of suppliers who source well-made, honest natural and biodynamic wines from producers whose wine-making practices are carried out with love and care. We change our wine list by the glass as frequently as our food menu so that you (and we) get to enjoy new and interesting wines. We are once again open on Sundays and offering a set sharing menu of 4 plates plus bread and pickles priced at £35 per head.
