Both my wife and I have come here a handful of times. She had been before me with work friends and had commented with "we should go, the food is excellent". We came on weekend, late night and were greeted with a server that was surprisingly charismatic for his age. Enjoying the drinks, food and service, we decided to come back a few months later - once again, impressed! After learning about their pairing/tasting dinners, we opt for their Noel dinner last year and had brought our in-laws. No longer surprised at the quality, but now the consistency. We've travelled fairly extensively, globally and have had more than a few Michelin star meals, local and abroad. While some are very nice, The Standard has it figured out. A young sous chef, his orator father and accommodating mother making complimentary rounds to welcome people is like watching art work while we all get a little more than tipsy on beer; that Belgian stuff. We came last night for the Beer Dinner Event and brought my in-laws (who just came back from Italy) only to say "yeah, this place is is unreal". Each dish was fantastic - you guys could put rocks on lava and I'd be like... "well f**k it, I should at least try it out". Ata, our main server, was a gent and the girl serving at the bar was great with my in-laws, no matter now many times they asked her for something even if she was tending to someone else - top notch!

An absolutely amazing experience. Service was fast, kind and caring. Food was remarkable. Prices and value were some of the best I've seen. Vibes in the restaurant were phenomenal. An underrated gem in the heart of Hamilton. Must try

We have been here for drinks before on the patio on a Saturday nite so decided to come back for dinner and drinks. Everything was amazing, food was on point, our server was excellent, the vibe was great. The owner was at the door greeting people and you can see him walking around through the night making sure everyone i his establishment was happy. I highly recommend and will be back again

Great spot, lots of options and variety on the menu. Service was exceptional.
