Restaurant is steeped in tradition and care for the community. Restaurateur Brandon E. Chrostowski offers a unique experience with seasonal, classic French cuisine in the midst of Cleveland's Shaker Square.

The restaurant has a unique mission; to eat well and do good. Founded in 2007, the mission of EDWINS Leadership and Restaurant Institute is to instill leadership skills in formerly incarcerated men and women through an education in the culinary arts.

Our aim is to change the face of re-entry through food and hospitality.

We had a truly memorable experience at Edwins. The food was delicious and the service plentiful and friendly. The owner came out to say hello and asked us to stay as long as we wished and enjoy. We will be back again.

Excellent in all regards. Relaxing atmosphere, excellent choice and prep of foods. Staff were more than just staff but would take the time for small talk. Anniversary celebration (51 years) for us. They provided some surprises for us. Memorable evening for my wife and me.

Meticulous attentive service. Food expertly prepared and served, both entrees and mains. Wine was perfect pairing (Pommard) with venison and pheasant. Latter accompanied by sweet potato-apple purée, and spinach. Dessert was bananas Foster, perfect conclusion to a superb experience. Cannot praise the entire staff highly enough.

The entire staff seemed to go above and beyond to make my wife and I, and our 2 teenage daughters, feel like we were all VIPs. The staff was very attentive and very friendly. Each course of our meal was an experience that we each felt compelled to share. We've been trying to eat there for 3 years and it was WELL worth the wait. Thank you to the entire staff for making us feel welcome and special. We will not soon forget our experience there and have it on our list for next time we're back in town.

Delicious meal that was presented beautifully. Good service, pleasant wait staff. Music a bit too loud . Would have preferred more traditional music at a lower volume. We did have a very nice meal for Cleveland Restaurant Week.

Wonderful Restaurant Week experience- a real bargain for a 3 course meal. The chef came out twice to speak to the tables, the servers were attentive, the food and drink were of the highest quality and the cozy fireplace made for an outstanding dining experience. MERCI!

This is a unique restaurant. The staff is mostly formally incarcerated men and women who have been given a second chance to learn a skill that can propel them to success in the face of historically few opportunities. Our meal was succulent, and the presentation was first rate. The wait staff was attentive without being hovering. You can tell they were devoted to being the best they could be. We wish them all the best.

Excellent cooking, I’d rate 8-9/10. Great experience. Frog legs, grouper and venison outstanding. Beignets and soufflé also outstanding. Lobster bisque also good. Duck confit with risotto was the only not so outstanding item. Great service!

From the moment we walked in it was an amazing experience! We were celebrating my husband‘s birthday, and Edwins exceeded our expectations. The service was top-notch, and the food was fabulous.

What a wonderful experience. The service was excellent from the moment we walked in until the door was held open for us upon exiting. Delicious food (with wonderful vegan options!), a roaring fireplace, great atmosphere, attentive staff… I highly recommend Edwin’s!

Service was great, background music was terrible. Chestnut and Fennel soup was really good, can't say the same for the main course. Grouper was ok, but bland. Scallops were done well, but just 3 scallops for $47.00 ??, seemed a little high. Brussel sprouts that came with the the scallops were hard as hocky pucks. Disappointing for an anniversary dinner. Menu prices were higher than the same ones seen on their web site.

Greeted as we entered. Hostess took our coats and checked them for us. We had a nice table for 2 in front of a fireplace. Kind of romantic for our anniversary. We shared a local greens salad w/vinegrette dressing. My wife enjoyed the duck leg with butternut squash risotto and the Venison roast was tender a prepared perfectly. Venison was paired with braised cabbage and spaetzles. We finished the banana foster prepared tableside. The owner and head chef stopped at our table and thanked us for sharing our anniversary with them. As we were leaving the gentleman handling coat check held my wife's coat for her to make it easier to put on. Total class act. Great dinner prepared by a fantastic chef and served by some future great restaurant workers. We will be back.

What a lovely time we had! The food was creative and delicious. We especially loved the chestnut/fennel soup and the pheasant main dish. Bravo to the chef! Our waiter was delightful and attentive. We were thrilled to be in a restaurant that was almost full, yet quiet. Not only would I recommend it to others, I shall put it on my return list when I come back to Cleveland.
