   I’ve had one of the poorest experiences you can have at a place. I call the day before to see if you could order off the main menu during brunch in which I was informed yes. Once I get seated we’re handed brunch menus only, in which I ask the waiter to get a regular menu and the waiter tells me “no it’s only brunch menu until 3pm” It’s 2:30pm, I inform him I called ahead and was advised otherwise and the response was “not sure who told you that”, which was a bit rude. So now it’s 30 minutes until 3pm and I’m not in a mood for eggs. So I ordered guacamole and chips and departed. No attempts to make a Situation right, and zero exceptions where made. I was so excited to try this place and unfortunately the service itself left a horrible taste in my mouth. Most if not all places allow you to order off the main menu during brunch. This place did not advertise brunch menu only etc..

   Great, fresh ingredients and try the unique cactus taco. My margarita was a little watery tasting but definitely strong. Nice outdoor patio.

   Staffing seems to be a problem everywhere. No separate fryer for seafood/shellfish limited options for companion, e.g. tortilla chips.

   Would love to come back again as El Chile was one of our favorites, especially when it was still Yuyo. Friday nights have been a little below average on the food quality/taste - I’m sure it’s tough to manage the increased traffic from UT/Moody, but I also had El Chilito down the road recently for breakfast and it was great! Looking forward to giving it another shot soon.

    Our waiter couldn’t have cared less about being there. He appeared to be put off when we asked about an ingredient in one of the dishes. He’d walk by table and ask if they needed anything but would keep walking and not pause if answers. Also, olives would be nice to have to garnish the Mexican martinis with.

    Went with a group of 10 people for a bday party. Service was great and staff was attentive until the end (we were there from 2-4), not sure why our table was not completely cleared at the end of our meal? Maybe short staffed? But food and drinks came out quickly-so no complaint. I ordered the pollo pablano and marginal at best, sauce lacked flavor and the chicken breast was seasoned when it was put on the grill so all I could taste was the grilling. Also was warm and slightly cold. So, really a “meh” sort of dish considering it was a specialty dish and compared to what others ordered-ie puffy tacos, posole looked good. And I have definitely had better margaritas. The frozen sangria/regular mix was too sweet and their rocks wasn’t sweet enough.

    I hesitate to write this review for fear of never getting a reservation for a weekend brunch time again. This is the best brunch place in Austin bar none!! Truly, on all measures. . .5 stars!! The menu is so unique, with so many interesting options, and super flavourful, plus giant portions for an incredible value. The brunch drink menu offers a wide variety of choices and also a great value. We had 3 delicious entrees, one I will always get when i return, the Monte cristo relleno. The chilaquiles Rojas or Verdes and migas were delicious too. The carafe of flavored mimosas were so yummy. We got two, prickly pear and watermelon, which was our favorite since it was fresh fruit. You can't go wrong with this great choice for brunch!

    This place was nice. Very friendly for kids and dogs. The ceviche was not great. It has not lemon flavor but the Barbacoa tacos, guacamole and drinks were great.

    I ordered the grilled redfish and my wife had the shrimp. The fish was dry and green beans were not seasoned as described. Our server was attentive and helpful, so that made our experience much better!

    The food was significantly lower quality than usual. They were out of the redfish which is my favorite thing on the menu, which would have been fine because I ordered the shrimp fajitas instead which I’ve had before, but the shrimp were overcooked but also not sizzling like they are normally served. Our server was very nice but we were seated outside and the cover on the patio was ripped and flapping open which was very cold and annoying. Thankfully our waiter moved us to a different table. Disappointing visit since this is normally one of my favorite restaurants.
