Lost Watering Hole, The Lancefield Brewery was born from a tiny idea two mates from Lancefield had one day whilst having a beer… “Let’s open a brewery!” They never expected that one day, several years later, Lost Watering Hole, The Lancefield Brewery would become the special place it is today. It all began in 1888, when Henry Lindsay bought the former flour mill in Lancefield and converted it into a brewery (God bless him…). Lindsay trademarked the name ‘The Trent Brewery’ and began producing both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. In the years that followed, the brewery changed hands many times, continuing to trade until early 1898, when it seems both the building and equipment were put up for auction, although it did not find a buyer. Sadly, a mysterious fire gutted the building the night after the auction, signalling its closure. Gladly, our brewery is lost no more… Today, we are proud to welcome you and your friends to Lancefield’s brewery, Lost Watering Hole.

Gilbees is a great little find. Fabulous food, good wines, all Australian, and friendly attentive service. We sat in the cute courtyard which was lovely, there are heaters if it’s cold. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful time celebrating our daughter's 18th Birthday Brunch at Old Man Drew. Wonderful food, delicious brunch cocktails and a cosy place in the Wine Cellar. Thank you for having us. We will be back :)

We booked multiple tables for an end of season celebration and we were pleasantly surprised by the level of service that we experienced, particularly on a busy Friday night. The staff took time to ensure everyone was catered for, received their food together and were continually monitored. The good was good and the steaks were flawless - well cooked, will seasoned and definitely good value.

We had my birthday celebration there on a Sunday. I love how the place has improved as to how it was a few years back. It's cosier and I live how they added some toys that the kids can also play with. Their food is yummy as always and very generous. Their cider tasting paddle was wonderful and we thoroughly enjoyed them.
