Elegant ambience, friendly service and delicious food.

The fried chicken was impeccable. Super flavorful and juicy. The use of chicken thighs was smart. Served with grits and breadcrumbs and butter pickles. Great combo. The cornbread can’t be humanly described. But trust me it’s gooooood!

We had the most wonderful dinner at Olivella. It started off with our fantastic server, David. He made the evening for us - by explaining all of our options and always asking if we needed anything. I had the crudo, which was outstanding. The cacio e pepe pasta was delicious. The halibut was some of the best I've ever had, but I was so full, I couldn't finish it. I also had the flourless chocolate cake, which was good, too, although again, I couldn't eat much of it. Although they are not large portions, I somehow found myself very full. The bread and butter at the beginning, probably didn't help! We hope we can come again. It was my first trip to Ojai and I can't wait to come back!
