The Local Peasant in Woodland Hills is the Ventura Boulevard pub that solved the tradeoff most bars force you into. Loud game bar or quiet dinner. Fast service or decent food. Kid-friendly early or adult-focused late. This room handles all of it without changing its behavior, and it has been doing it for 15 years running.The kitchen and bar operate under the same standards the founders learned running high-volume rooms in New York, then sharpened at Scopa Italian Roots and Black Market Liquor Bar. Dishes land on the menu because they hold structure and temperature on a line that never stops moving. The pork belly keeps its caramelized edge through a full rush. Wings come out with consistent heat. The pretzel arrives warm with the right chew. Fish and chips stay crisp, and fries hit the table the way fries should. 22901 Ventura Blvd in the heart of Woodland Hills. Happy hour runs Monday through Friday, 4 to 6 PM. Weekend brunch fills the room on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

    I had such a great experience here. From the time I arrived, they were very quick to seat us and take care of valet. Once I was seated, the service was excellent. From the timing of anything I needed it seemed like they were always on top of it or even ahead of it. My drink was always refilled promptly, the service was not only fast but the food was absolutely delicious as well. One of the best dining experiences I have had hands down.

    What an amazing Omakase experience! The food was fantastically prepared, fresh and delicious. It was presented beautifully and the chef explained everything thoroughly, guiding us in the process. Was it pricey? Yes. Was it worth it? Absolutely!!! Strongly recommend and we will be back. A special shout out is to Asal… she was so kind, personable and attentive. Amazing!!

    There was no wait and we were seated immediately. Our waiter, Jonathan, was very friendly and very helpful getting us started on their rewards program. Food was hot and tasty
