De dames van de bediening waren uiterst vriendelijk, behulpzaam en beleefd. Het uitzicht vanaf het terras was geweldig. Eten was heerlijk, vooral de Orange crème brûlée ! We hebben genoten!

After closing for 2 weeks for an interior refurb the pub now has a fresh and clean new look. The creation of a proper snug is part of the change and is available for private hire for small gatherings or family occasions. The rear barn has also undergone refurbishment and is now a wonderful room dating back to the 15th Century with oak beams and flagstone floor folding doors open out on to the rear courtyard and river Stour beyond. The barn forms part of the restaurant but can also be made available for small functions and parties of up to 20 - 25 people.

Our party of 5 arrived on Sunday afternoon to see a busy and lively pub. We were immediately taken to table given ample time to select the food. Drinks arrived very quickly followed soon after by the food, Sunday roasts were an option. As always, the food was excellent and the professional, friendly service was of a high level. A thoroughly enjoyable experience.

We had lunch there for my husbands birthday and he is celiac, it was wonderful to go and eat somewhere that you didn't have to worry what you were eating and the menu had great choices!! We will definitely go there again.

Great food, attentive service as always. It shows a good restaurant and it's staff when they recognize customers from before. We all (including my friends from Bucks) had great time and enjoyed our food.
