Our inspiration is the Zeus Faber, one of many local fish that can be fished sustainably and from our shores; although it has a wonderful Latin come Greek name, it also has a very British name - John Dory. Faber is the Latin word for ‘Smith’ and as Smith is the most common name in English, we decided it sits well with our ethos - we want to be accessible to all.Setting us apart from the rest is our commitment to working with local fishmongers who run out to the coast each evening to collect day-boat fish and local ingredients. This means that everything on our menu is fresh, sustainably sourced, and supports the local economy. Our chef Ollie Bass believes in creating dishes that are not only delicious but also ethical and responsible. A perfect spot with Eventim Apollo, The Lyric & Riverside studios only 5-10 minutes walk, dine in with us to feel like you're at the coast in the heart of Hammersmith
La Palombe is a new neighbourhood bistro from restaurateur James Chiavarini (also of Il Portico) & chef patron Jake Leach (previously head chef at the three Michelin starred The Ledbury).A large wood burning grill takes center stage where the majority of the dishes are cooked over live embers. James & Jake work together every shift to serve dishes with a real sense of terroir and provenance, including our speciality of wild foods foraged ourselves. Expect wild noisette venison, Wiltshire truffles (thanks to our house truffle dog Alba!), rare woodland mushrooms, and much wonderful produce from our small organic farm in Kent. The wine list is sourced entirely from independent producers, and regularly updated with a specialised focus on low intervention and organic wines. We are across the road to the Design Museum & Holland Park, a 10 minute walk from Kensington Olympia and a short distance to the Royal Albert Hall.
Following the huge success of Fish! restaurant in Borough Market, Tony Allan developed his Fish! concept further to create Fish! Kitchen in Kingston upon Thames. Encompassing the Fish! brand ethos and offering the highest quality fresh fish, simply cooked and at a fair price, it opened to great reviews and have fast become a local favourite renowned for both our traditional fish and chips as well as our grilled fish. Located in peaceful Kingston on Coombe Rd, Fish! Kitchen undoubtedly serves the best fish and hand cut chips in South West London. Popular with lunchtime crowds, this restaurant caters for adults and children alike. The kids can choose from a kiddie menu and leave the adults in peace as they scribble all over the paper place mats with crayons supplied by the restaurant. Favourites include classic prawn cocktail to start and the swordfish club sandwich, a modern twist on the traditional.
