The Attic, an iconic Long Beach staple, was established in 2012 by owner Steve Massis. Situated within an eclectic 1920's craftsman style home. Dining in, is reminiscent of enjoying Sunday supper with family and friends.Inspired by a desire to evolve and further elevate the existing concept, the Attic underwent some exciting changes in the last year. With the guidance and imagination of local designer, Tara Rigi, the interior and exterior were restored to accentuate the craftsman's iconic beauty. The most significant change came in the form of our new chef, Cameron Slaugh, who joined our team near the beginning of 2020. As a newcomer to Long Beach, he finds inspiration from local, seasonal ingredients, and draws on his early beginnings of growing up on a farm. All of which he uses to constantly reimagine our menu, marrying New American cuisine with southern traditions.
Established in 1993, King’s Fish House is Long Beach’s choice for seafood. Located at the corner of E. Broadway and Pine Ave., King’s Fish House features a large selection of fresh oysters, seasonal catches, sushi and live shellfish, including lobster and crab, on a menu that changes daily. We’ve been in restaurants a little while – three generations, to be precise. A long time ago, we embarked on a road trip in search of the ultimate seafood experience. We traveled down highways and byways, pulled up a seat, put on bibs and soaked up the seafood experience: the no-name dishes with unforgettable flavor, the fresh-caught oysters and clams piled high, the hand-lettered specials on ancient chalkboards and the savory simmer of every combination of spices imaginable.Welcome to the House that Seafood Built. Our generous corkage program for each table: the first 750mL bottle is complimentary, and each additional 750mL bottle is $25.
Homareya is Long Beach’s first proper izakaya, led by Chef Yoya, formerly of West LA’s acclaimed Hamasaku. The menu celebrates Japanese comfort and creativity: savor expertly grilled pork belly and chicken meatball skewers, playful Japa-dillas stuffed with soy-simmered beef and kimchi in Sonoratown tortillas, and vibrant nigiri that lets pristine fish shine with delicate rice and wasabi. Indulge in tender sous vide chicken livers with sesame and onion, perfectly fried squid with potatoes and refreshing asparagus-tomato salad, or a punchy potato salad topped with koji-joyu marinated onsen egg, cucumber, and crispy onions. Homareya welcomes you to a lively, drink-friendly atmosphere where fusion and classic flavors meet.
