The Ebenezer is downtown Plymouth’s first and only speakeasy, and one of the few in the Metro Detroit area. Hidden in plain view off Fleet Street and nestled in the basement of the former First National Bank of Plymouth (now occupied by The Ledger), its moniker comes from Ebenezer J. Penniman, the first to be appointed president of the bank in 1871.
