Market Grille in Manchester, Connecticut is a nice combination between an upscale eatery and a casual restaurant. You can meet your coworkers there for drinks just as easily as you could bring your child to Market Grille for their birthday. The menu is mostly modern American cuisine, but there is also an extensive wine and beer list.The four-cheese lasagna at Market Grille is very good. Beauty & Essex has an innovative design that starts in the Pawn Shop, complete with vintage treasures and curated contemporary pieces. The host greets you in the Jewelry Box and takes you past upholstered walls into the Pearl Lounge and bar. Then you’ll find the Peacock Dining Room and the Locket Private Dining Room separated by a screen wall of antique frames. Each of these rooms are inspired by the delicate yet glamorous details of jewelry. The cuisine, much like the design, is intended to set a new course with unique shareable dishes and twists on classic cocktails. Acclaimed chef and co-creator Chris Santos was one of the pioneers of the small, share plate dining trend that has swept the nation, and with the Beauty & Essex menu, he once again has created waves on the food scene.

Dining at The Old Inn on the Green is an extraordinary experience: fine wine, great food, attentive, knowledgeable service and the dining rooms illuminated only by candle light. Chef and Owner Peter Platt, along with his team, work to create innovative and memorable meals that are an event unto themselves. Currently, we are offering a $95 Prix Fixe, Wednesday through Sunday from 5:30-9:00pm for both indoors and in our heated outdoor Covered Patio. In addition to candlelight, in the colder months there are wood burning fireplaces in each room.
