For more than 20 years, Paolo’s has been bringing the taste of Italy to Kent. Paul Raftis founded the restaurant after growing up learning to cook along side his mother, Darlene Raftis. He enjoys the open kitchen he can chat with guests as he works. He never tires of hearing "It smells so good in here!" As a marathoner, he is living proof that that you can eat Italian and be healthy. In fact, one of his signature dishes, "Fettucine Paolo" was featured in Runner's World magazine. "It's one of the dishes I developed, it has no cream in it, no butter." It's a delicious pasta dish that utilizes olive oil, garlic, chicken stock, garlic, balsamic vinegar, sundried tomatoes, artichokes, and chicken. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving buffet there with my family. It was very easy to make reservations through OpenTable. Copperleaf is location in the Cedarbrook Lodge. Beautiful location... Even though there were a number of people dining there at the same time, Everything was organized and well planned. Lots of food options available at the buffet. I particularly liked all the salad options they had. The Thanksgiving turkey was perfect. Our table was in a quiet dining area close to windows that overlooked the hotel grounds. The staff were very helpful. They would be the main reason I would return. It felt like a very special place.

I highly recommend Paolo's restaurant especially their 4 course meals up to 5:30 or after 8:00 Monday thru Friday. And if you happened to be celebrating a bday you get a free dessert. I ended up with two desserts. Wednesdays are special to if you order a Washington wine by the bottle you get it at half price. Service and food was excellent. :)
