   We always book Gaucho when we come up from Bournemouth a few times a year but this week be our last time for a while. We had the Churrasco de lomo, we found the steak flavourless, we normally find there still is some flavour in the fillet. The chips were all ends and were very soggy and the mushrooms were tastless. We had come up for my partners birthday, so had the guy in the couple next to us. His drink came out on a large elaborate board with Happy Birthday in choclate. When our pudding come out my partner's had a small plate with truffles with Happy Birthday written in chocolate. The thing that did it, was so did the guy next to us. It's just something we noted, we felt there was a difference in effort with what you had spent.

   Excellent service from the moment we walked in. The waiter (Marcello) looking after our table was so friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the food and types of cut of steak. He also recommended different cocktails that were delicious, (thank you barman). The meal was second to none, the steak perfectly cooked to our different tastes. We never felt rushed even though it was a busy Friday evening. Would 100% recommend this restaurant to people and will definitely be a return customer.

   Excellent meal - great food, great service in an amazing setting. A slight issue occurred - no fault of the restaurant and they went over and above to sort it out for us . Can’t wait to return . Thanks for a great night xx

    After a sad experience last week this week was much better. My steak was cooked perfectly, sides were perfect too. My partners steak did come wrong to his tasting (although I thought mine was perfect and we have our steak cooked the same - medium rare) but it was swapped out immediately for the way he wanted it and he was happy with the second one. Surprisingly, staff bought out fresh sides as the other sides would have gone cold by the time by partner ate his. And even more surprisingly they knocked a large percentage off the final bill because of my partner's want for a newly cooked steak. I wasn't expecting new sides or money off the bill. Faith restored in the restaurant as I do frequent with family and friends and will be back in a few weeks again with family for more!

    Really friendly staff, location is really nice. The bottomless roast dinner isn’t worth the value as they’re not quick with the service and you have to get attention to ask for more, which took a while and then the wait was 20mins. Steak was spot on (medium rare was delicious). Fries (not chips) were over cooked for what you’re paying and for the service charge, it would have been nice to have our water topped up at least once. We visited on Mother’s Day and there was live music, which added to the atmosphere. Probably wouldn’t come back as wasn’t delighted for the price, which is a shame as the meat is really good.

    The position of our table was poor (right next to the pass), waiting staff congregated right next to our table to pick up food which was off putting to say the least. There were 3 in out party, and all in all we spent close to £500 on food and drinks (none of us were even remotely tipsy!). Although the food quality was good, £100+ per head on steak and chips did not represent good value for money. On a positive note the service was very good and the setting overall was nice. I wouldn't rush back, there are better places to spend that sort of money at in city centre Manchester.

    First time in this restaurant and unfortunately I would never go back The ambiance is really good the building is fantastic inside but the food is only average at best for me Both our main courses were at best Luke warm chips and salad which was just a bowl of rocket very expensive for what you get £120 for two main courses and two drinks sorry I can’t be more enthusiastic but did not impress me Miller and Carter and San Carlos are far better restaurants and better value

    Served by Marchello, it was my boyfriends birthday and he provided a candle and chocolates to celebrate. Kept out drinks topped up and was always asking if we wanted or needed anything

    Steak was really bad this time. Very chewy. Chips were burnt. Broccoli was limp. I’ve ate here at least 25 times before and other than small issues never as bad as this. It’s put me off going again especially since the prices aren’t exactly cheap. Service charge on top of that. Not a good last experience.

    Lovely venue and wonderful food but, disappointed with the 'rushed' service. On arrival we were inundated with staff offering us drinks, water, menus, the wine list a bread basket and a description of the steaks on offer. Nothing wrong with that really but, a bit full on as all in (very) quick succession! Starter ordered and lovely food, no complaints there at all but, as soon as the starter plates and cutlery were cleared, the main arrived instantly! It seemed as if we were being rushed and we were finishing our mains which, were also very good, in less than an hour from arriving at Gaucho Manchester! The manager did accept my grievance and provided a complimentary dessert which, was a nice touch but, we did feel as if it was very much a whirlwind dinner and not a relaxed dining occasion.

    Not worth the price... chips wer so salty was unable to eat them. I was offerd water on arrival i was not aware it was a 5 pound charge i orderd another during my meal. Steak was ok but iv had better. All in all it is far to over priced

    Great location and the staff really are superb. High quality food. Hard to fault the Sunday roast. Nearly £180 for 2 x adults roasts and 2 x children’s. 2 x desserts, a few waters and a couple of wines. It’s not the cheapest however great place to eat.

    The steak and chips were absolutely unreal. Food was really good quality and good value for money. The drinks however were not great for the money, and the wine prices were very high for what they were. There was also a bit of a bad attitude amongst staff, service was very slow and we had to ask to order our drinks, then had to get up and ask for the bill, then had to ask for the card machine. This gets very frustrating and the slow service meant we only had 2 drinks. We did pay the tip as not all staff were bad but a bit of service with a smile wouldn’t have gone amiss. A 12.5% automatic tip is laughable when you consider the service we had. The ladies on the front desk downstairs had a face on them all night, not great for front of house. Overall would recommend for food, but for overall vibe I would not recommend!
