   My family and I had a wonderful dining experience at Great Maple. The service was friendly and attentive, the atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the food was delicious and satisfying. We especially loved the salted caramel pork ribs, which were tender, juicy and flavorful. The portion size was generous and the price was reasonable. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an old school diner vibe with upscaled food and cocktails.

    I requested a booth in my reservation and they did not have one when we arrived. We had to wait about another 15 mins. The food was good. Loved the popovers, bacon and maple logs. Sad that they took away the fresh fruit from the maple logs. 😢 The service was meh….we had to ask for extra plates, black pepper, and bread plates. Server did not check on us the entire time until we were done with our food. MIA. However, the food was delish. Drove 70 miles to eat breakfast at Great Maple!!!

    The food is delicious but I wish it was a little more Celiac disease friendly. The waitress was honest and helped me make a safe choice for breakfast. The coffee is excellent.

    Busy place so definitely make a reservation. I ordered the French Toast Log with additional bacon and a Box of maple donuts to go. Portions are huge! Overall experience - food, service and ambience - was great!

    The food is amazing, especially the maple bacon donuts and french toast. It’s definitely loud inside but the outdoor seating is more mellow. Service was great even on a super busy Saturday morning. The only thing I felt underwhelmed by was my mimosa. I wish it was chilled instead of room temp. Otherwise, great brunch!

    Love this place. Made a Rez for Sunday brunch. It was super busy with many people waiting so you have to remember to make a reservation if you want a table. Despite the busy Sunday chaos, the Hostesses remained calm and accommodated customers as much as possible. The server was super busy but still attentive, kind and helpful. The only thing I did not like is that our reservation was for 11:45 and our table was not ready until just after 12:20. I guess it is something to keep in mind when going to a popular place to eat at a busy time.

    Parking lot was full. Had to drive around for 10+ minutes to find a street spot. On Friday morning. All staff encountered, including on the phone were friendly and perform their jobs well. Out of town business contact enjoyed his meal and the venue. We weren't rushed out and completed our goals

    I came here on a whim after hearing the rave reviews and was pleasantly surprised by this well-known San Diego spot nestled between Hillcrest and University Heights. (So far hotspot recommendations have been 50/50) I made a reservation on the app and was pleased there was parking right at the restaurant. Don’t be fooled by the outside of the building, the inside is beautiful, up to date, very cafe-like, clean and “instagram-able”. The menu is pretty diverse, mostly breakfast foods and some specialty drinks. The bathroom was clean but a little dim. They had chairs there I’m assuming for nursing mothers which I’m sure is very appreciated. We ordered the French Toast with a side of eggs. I was able to split it with my husband. Absolutely delicious, possibly the best French toast I’ve ever had! The only negative thing I have to say is…our waitress did forgot to ring up my Pimms Cup (I think that’s what it’s called) so that never came. She remembered after and apologized, so all is well! This was a good experience and I will certainly be returning!

    I felt like our server was annoyed at us but I’m not sure why. Also the people next to us sat down after us and got there food about 10 minutes before our starter came.

    Consistently superb service and cuisine. As I have noted before Great Maple is a San Diego gem. Others have come and gone but not Great Maple. That is a testament to how “Great “ this restaurant is. Thank you 😊

    My girlfriend and I went to Great Maple for their Prix Fixe Valentine’s Day special dinner. We were both impressed with the excellent quality of everything on the menu! There was amazing attention to detail in both food plating and preparation. For example, we ordered the beef filet medium-rare and it had a pleasing char on the outside for a little crunch, while maintaining a pleasant pinkness inside. I’d definitely recommend Great Maple! Absolutely delicious and service was excellent.

    Food is very good but expensive . Ambience could be improved. Felt a lot of tables within limited space. The table is too small. Our table assignment was right behind reception desk which I felt very odd. Overall good.

    This was a Valentines Day dinner with a pre-fix menu. The food was excellent, but overall experience was poor. The whole time we felt like we were being rushed outta there. They brought out every course while we were still working on the previous one. They did the same thing to the couple next to us. It’s understandable they were trying to flip the table, but at $90 person, with a total of $260 for table, with only one drink per person, one would think they’d be a little more patient. It left a bad taste in what should’ve been a romantic and memorable experience.
