V enjoyable celebration dinner, the food was out of the world, although only tepid when served. The environment was v noisy, with piped generic house music playing just a little too loudly to hold an intimate conversation.
The waiter did not tell us anything about the menu, when we asked what he recomended he just pointet at many different courses, and it looked like he didnt know the menu.
Two of us got the food way before the others, and it was cold when the others got their plates. He did not tell us what the dishes were and the music was way to loud.
The only thing that was good about this night at hakkasan was the man who served us wine (and i didnt even drink wine).
I was really dissapointed because i was really looking forward for this night at hakkasan.
Always amazing. My favourite restaurant!
As always 10/10.
Jen & Edgar also looked at us !
Couldn’t fault anything
Absymal service. Overcrowded/dark/ iratating repetitive music and quite ridiculously overexpensive.
Two dishes didnt turn up and the waiter couldnt explain. Thankfully the company was great so headed off and drank cocktails at a nearby venue.
Quality price ratio disatrous. Some plates were presented in a really bad way. We chose the dragon menu and for that price (120 without drinks) we were expecting to be satieted..well we were not. We once tried the same restaurant in Miami and it was a completely different experience. Customers, listen to me..go to any Chinese restaurant in Soho and you will be more satisfied and with a lot more money in your pocket.
Delicious dishes, lots of variety and excellent service
We both loved the food and it was very flavoursome!
The food was good but the service less so. Its quite noisy, but all restaurants seem to be noisy these days.
We were Mum and Son for a birthday meal and it was perfect. The menu we chose, included the best chicken satay ever! Great service and ambiance. A good choice for lots of events and reasons. Recommended!
Portions very small for money paid
Great food but lunch took far too long for just two people. An hour and a half for a few dishes was a bit much.
I wouldn't recommend this restaurant for none of the above. However the food was good. But that place is far too noisy, it is a pain trying to have conversations with your guests. The waiters take our emply plates and glasses far too quickly. Of course the prices are far too expensive for the standard of the restaurant. A shame you need to pay for the nibbles! Done it, won't do it again, and won't recommend until the owners change their view and stop making as much money as possible, as it is soooo obvious!
Went for a friend’s birthday. Used the deal. Good food, lovely place and good service.
The dumplings and the sea bass were just fantastic
I did not like the hakkatini cocktail that much but it was just a wrong choice on my part ( it wasn't my type of cocktail)
From the time we arrived the service was shocking. The lady on the cloakroom was not welcoming and our waiter seemed to have an attitude from the minute we sat down. Whilst taking our order he was inattentive and seemed more interested in what was going on in the restaurant
Love coming back here for the dim sums! Absolutely delicious and enjoyed the service that was quick and efficient.
Great lunch and very good service. We also enjoyed the new carrot cake.
Best ever duck spring rolls and duck salad!
The vibe was ok in there, upstairs very cramped.... Bar area way to busy ... We ate downstairs and the ambiance was nice and tunes good. But waitress and other waiters seemed moody. And considering the big service charge, I expected more.
Wasn’t great . But ok
We was stressed to finish dinner?
Two hours not enough!
The food was great- we had the tasting menu for £38pp. On booking I made a note saying it was my birthday And my dessert had a birthday message and a candle which made me very happy
Excellent, as ever!
I love it here! Great place, great food! Going back soon!
Hakkasan est toujours une valeur sure, la cuisine se vaut partout dans le monde, c’est un très bon restaurant chinois. Des serveurs aux petits soins. Bonne ambiance mais musique un peu trop forte.
Utterly appalling experience from start to finish - food not very good at all and service diabolical. They probably couldn’t care less they are busy and successful - it’s a Mystery to me and to the six other diners with me
Great date spot! The ambience and service is very pretty. Unfortunately the food tasted only so-so (I prefer the sister restaurant Yauatcha in terms of food). The wait staff during dinner seemed a little unorganized. The waiter for our table actually never got to take any of our food or drink orders, instead the hostess took our orders and she could see we were waiting around for a good 15-20 mins. Also we asked for the check 4 times before it was brought to us (again by the hostess).
I am a regular at this restaurant, Just recently the service has been poor and the food average
On my recent visit the waiter forgot to order my starter, my main course turned up late (20mins after my partners main course had been served), then when my main course finally turned up they served the wrong dish and then 10mins later the main course turned up cold !!!!!!
To the owners you need to get a grip Waiters had hardly speak English ,organisation is poor
I am so disappointed this was one of my favourite restaurants in London.
Fantastic food complemented with great service.
Maybe my expectations were set too high for this restaurant or the fact that we were dining under a cheaper set menu influenced our experience, but needless to say we left feeling slightly disappointed. The service was very rushed we were in and out in just over an hour we staff took away plates before we had finished. Our mains cutlery was set up while we were eating our starters and my partner used some of it and left it on his plate when he had finished- the waitress then placed it back on the table for him to use again, my napkin was removed after our mains and not replaced when the desserts were given. There was no interaction from the staff with no explanation of what was in the dimsum selection. Staff looked tired and unhappy not what were were expecting from a Michelin starred restaurant. The food was ok standard but again nothing different from our local Chinese apart from a nicer presentation.
The food was amazing especially the dim sum. Two of my party hadn’t been before and with the first bite they understood why I wanted to come back so much!!
We booked the £38.00 set menu deal.
Our experience was tainted by the inflexible nature of Hakkasan’s menu to adapt for individual’s with allergies.
Our first waiter seemed very disinterested with helping us to decipher the menu to establish what our son with seafood and nut allergy could eat apart from the Vegetarian options.
Our second waiter was much more helpful but the choice on offer for my son was limited by the fact that most of the meat options had some sort of fish sauce added to it.
The £38.00 set menu portion sizes would be better restricted to only the lunch period as you were left hungry without additional dishes.
I told them I am vegetarian and they gave me shrimp sauce. Which I tried and is just not acceptable
The service was great as always!
Was ok but overpriced and deal was misleading. Service was overbearing especially for a lone diner.
We got a table that was so close to the next one that I hardly could walk between the tables. We bought the most expensive menu option (the Dragon) and the food was just thrown on the table and with such a rush that we did not have time to eat the first plate until we received the second etc (it just went on and on). Nobody explained what was on each plate (like we are used to when fine dining). We found the food to be mediocre at best, but the conveyor-belt-service that we received was just shocking, especially for such a highly rated place. The desserts were really good, but that was about it. When we received the last plate we did not take a single bite out of it because we were so disgusted by the lack of personal connection from the staff and the feeling that we had to finish soon in order for the next guests to have our table. When they took our last plate (which was untouched) they did not ask us what we thought about the food or why we didn’t eat it. This was just a bad experience overall. We had already booked and paid for a table at a nightclub nearby, but we just took an Uber back to our hotel. Hakkasan basically ruined the night for us..
They increased prices and decreased portion sizes. However the food is still amazing
unfortunately it wasn't a great meal for my wife birthday....we use to love Hakkasan but this time the experience was poor.... we sent back prawn dish and replaced it with another prawn dish that was ok but nothing special....service was ok but we didn't feel like they really cared....
overal we left not satisfied ...sorry to say that ....
