Food as always is excellent, really enjoyed the pre dinner cocktails as well as the wine. Sat at a lovely corner table and the service was very attentive.
Amazing...… right from greeted at the door, the bar & cocktails, waiter and food. It was incredibly busy but we didn't feel neglected at all.
Had a great evening at Hawksmoor for my daughters Birthday, the food was really nice, the service was very good and the place a buzzing in a really good way, would definitely go back.
Firstly would like to thank my brother for this gift. A wonderful experience was had by myself and wife. A must for anyone visiting Manchester. We will be returning.
One of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to! Excellent service, food, and ambiance! Highly recommend!
Great food, great service and a lovely setting. Always love going back.
Food was great quality, well worth the price (pricey but if you want good quality food, that’s the price you pay!)
Service was quick, friendly and overall excellent! Our waiter went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable! Room was quite darker than most restaurants but it was to set the relaxed and friendly atmosphere! The level was what you would expect of a popular restaurant!
Would definitely visit again
The place is excellent from the moment you cross the threshold. The friendly attentive staff cannot do enough for you, recommendations you can rely on, asking what your preferences are and that is just the cocktails!
The steak is out of this world and my only regret is that the short rib macaroni is no longer on the menu! Top marks!
I’ve been to Hawksmoor many times over the last 6 years. Friday night was just a little below the standard expected which was a shame as I was there with friends who hadn’t been there before. They had the chicken which was over salted, on the positive the bill was discounted
Birthday - amazing food and service, just a little slow on delivering the food.
A fantastic meal in the hands of our wonderful waiter John! Attentive, relaxed and a good laugh! Will definitely be back soon, if not just for the onion rings!
The best dining experience . Five star all the way.
From the moment I walked through the doors, I knew I was in for an excellent night. The welcome was warm, friendly and inviting. I was shown to the bar area where I tried some of the most amazing cocktails I have ever had the pleasure to imbibe. We were shown to the Dining Room, where our waiter was smiling, friendly, helpful and informative. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The food was simply out of this world. Sadly some dishes were a little on the pricey side (a small bowl of 'buttered greens' was about £4.50) but the overall meal experience was fantastic. we will most definitely be back soon.
Great food, great service. Lovely ambiance and very busy for a cold wet Monday night
Definitely worth visit!!!
As a repeat customer Hawksmoor didn’t disappoint, Great Food once again although service seemed slightly slower than your usual high standards. Can’t wait till I’m back again next month.
Would not recommend your restaurant for Sunday lunch as it massively overpriced at £20 for what it is and extra £6.50 for spinach and cauliflower is extortionate. My husband had the ribeye/beef Sunday lunch which was clearly the end of a rump steak. We had deserts and the apple pie (which saved the day) was amazing but a thimble full of custard was not acceptable. We have been the Manchester rest before and recently went to the Edinburgh Hawksmoor which was superb. We will not be returning to any Hawksmoor for the foreseeable future as this has left a bitter taste with us. Never say never though... but Sunday lunch a definite no and would not recommend. If you google a restaurant in Chester called Upstairs at the Grill. They have it spot on and the ribeye is cut in succulent slices and the gravy is divine. Not overpriced ( Drinks maybe !!!) but absolutely amazing. I hope you appreciate my honest feedback. Regards Debbie and Dave Batterham
The Sunday lunch is delicious and good value. It’s nice to see families out enjoying a meal together.
Great but expensive , service good and the sharing steaks were good just a pity they put the chateau Brian’s and the porterhouse steaks all together in the same serving dish so it was hard to work out what was what
Good quality beef and service but too much noise to hold a conversation and very expensive
The steak was over cooked
Superb and will come again. Meats and fish dishes equally as good
One of the best steaks I have had and will definitely be returning.
Fabulous meal and fantastic service. Will come again soon
Love Hawksmoor. Great food service and ambience. Wine list a little restricted is only criticism
Very nice food. Steak was delicious. Definitely worth that ££ more
Food fantastic. Everything else pretty good too. Expensive but worth it for a special occasion.
I thought the service was a little slow when we went, waiting too long to order food. I know it was busy but I shouldn't have to keep prompting someone to come and take our orders
Asked for ‘rare’ and believe it was more blue/blue rare. Still impeccable but a touch disappointing to previous steaks at Hawksmoor. Will be back in a month or so
Another great visit to Hawksmoor for our anniversary. Same great food, same awesome service, great drinks and top notch atmosphere. Never let me down, always a great dining experience. Thanks!
Great meal and atmosphere at Hawksmoor Manchester. Usually I go to Air St and this is just my 4th time in the Manchester venue. It was definitely the best visit. Everything was spot on including the service (great job Liam). My daughter and I were both delighted.
We were a little apprehensive when we arrived as externally the restaurant did not look as if it was open! However once inside it was very welcoming and buzzy
Lucy was absolutely amazing. She couldn’t do enough for us and was very attentive but never rushing. Thanks for a great time.
Great atmosphere. Profesional and friendly staff. Fantastic food
Thank you x
Failed attempt at Sunday Roast
I was so excited to go to Hawksmoor in Manchester having tried and failed to book tables in London on several occasions and knowing its outstanding reputation for Sunday roast. We arrived early for our 7:30 table to be informed that there was no lobster, fine, and no Sunday roast, not fine! I wouldn't have found this such an issue had we not been told unapologetically that 'we always run out around 5:30pm'. So for a restaurant with such a formidable reputation for roast, would it not make sense to make more?
We ordered 2 steaks, 2 chickens with mash potatoes and greens (plus the yorkshire pudding starters) - closest attempt to recreate the dinner we had come for! Our waiter returned to say there was no mash left either. So basically we could have fries or mac and cheese with our mains. The food arrived and was all very good, it just wasn't what we wanted or expected to be eating. With a £250 price tag for 4 I feel some recompense should have been offered, e.g. to supply the mac and cheese we didn't particularly want but had to order, free of charge as they had very little choice left. I think the side dish charges are too expensive, especially when you are already paying a premium for the steaks.
Sadly we won't be returning and I'm unlikely to try and book Spittalfields now after such a disappointing visit to a restaurant I had be so excited to visit.
Had lovely food, with attentive staff and good atmosphere.
Wonderful Sunday roast!
Great quality food. Will definitely return.
The meal was one of the most delicious I’ve ever had! Our steaks were perfect and the sides and sauces all complimented the main. The staff were very friendly and attentive, always topping up the wine and were very knowledgable when asking questions. We had a lovely evening and will definitely be back, my only small critique would be that I had called ahead and mentioned in the booking that we were coming to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday and when we arrived the lady on front desk printed the slip to say we were celebrating a birthday and the other lady asked whose it was however nothing happened after that. Obviously it is always just a goodwill gesture but I had read reviews that you normally make a fuss and make the person feel special. Apart from that we absolutely loved it! Thank you!
We had a lovely time at Hawksmoor, we went on a Saturday night for my boyfriends birthday. The food was amazing and the service was on another level. Would recommend to anyone.
