Shared a goats cheese, pear and caramelised pecan salad which was delicious. Lasagna was most unusual, large enough to share. The wok duck I'm told was good too. We're a couple in our early 60s, and although I had said that a high table downstairs was no problem, the staff led us to a table upstairs. We were surrounded by family groups with young children, and it could not be described as either fun or romantic. We had planned to celebrate the new year with a meal and a cocktail or two and the environment we found ourselves in led us to leave as soon as we'd finished our mains. What a pity!
