Amazing experience! The service was excellent, and the food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the spicy hibachi chicken plate with a lobster tail, and everything was cooked perfectly. Definitely enjoyed my experience!

I’ll be honest…I went to DIOSA because one of my friends suggested it. I had read several reviews, and there were some that didn’t make me feel like going—but I kept an open mind. There were seven of us in our party, and our reservation was yesterday, Saturday at 4:30pm. The parking was already pretty full, but we were all able to find parking spaces without needing the valet service. I’m sure it was because of the time. Also there weren’t a lot of people, so it was nice and the noise level was perfect. The hostess Luisa (I hope I remember the name correctly) sat us almost immediately, and was very sweet throughout the evening. We told her there was a cake that was delivered earlier, and she went to go check on it immediately. Our server José came over right away as well, and was amazing the whole night. Wendy took over for his break, and she was very attentive, checking on us repeatedly. The appetizers were yummy: corn taquitos, birria empanadas, and veggie empanadas. We also all shared birria nachos, and it was very good! One of my friends and I shared enchiladas poblanas and that was pretty good too. For me I think it would’ve been better if they were with chicken, but that’s a matter of taste. The black beans were ok. One of my other friends ordered the salmon risotto and she enjoyed the crunchiness. It is a bit pricey, but it’s a very beautiful place to get together. The food is not microwaved or bar food, the presentation is lovely, and we all liked what we ate. Also, there’s a very pretty bar area in the back, and a private room for events. I’m glad I gave it a shot, and was pleasantly surprised. I met the manager Stella as we were leaving, and thanked her and Lucia for everything. Keep up the good work! 😊

Casa Brunch is a gem of a restaurant located in the Downey Promenade Center. The inside of the restaurant is cozy and pleasantly decorated, and there is nice patio area. The food we had was great. I would describe their selections as being Mexican-American fusion style dishes. My friend who is more knowledgeable on Latin style meals commended them on having many dishes that she usually can’t find in other restaurants. The staff are very friendly and engage easily with their guests. I will definitely visit them again.

Salmon dish (grilled) with steamed broccoli and subbed baked potato was excellent. The hubs had the beef dip. It was tasty, but a little too salty for our taste buds. The highlight of the evening was our fantastic server, Ronny. He was knowledgeable about the menu, restaurant and the surrounding neighborhood. A very delightful young man who was engaging and "spot on" with his service to our table. We gave a generous tip and encourage the management to give this enterprising young man a promotion!
