After 14-plus years, St. Jack has become an iconic staple of the PDX dining scene, in the wonderfully walkable "Slabtown" neighborhood of NW Portland. Chef and restaurateur Aaron Barnett's unique menu features rustic dishes from the countryside of Lyon - the heart and soul of French cooking. We are excited to offer full service inside, as well as outside on our sidewalk tables (weather permitting). We also allow walk-up guests as space allows - Fridays and Saturdays it is highly recommended to make reservations.Our full menu is also available at the bar counter.

At Langbaan, classic Thai food is transformed into a refined five-course tasting menu using the bounty of Pacific Northwest ingredients. We pride ourselves on providing a unique Thai-style dining experience inspired by century-old traditions here in Portland, Oregon. Our tasting menu changes seasonally, inspired by different regions of Thailand and the cultural history that surrounds the regions. Immersive, convivial, and intimate, the restaurant has only 33 seats and offers two seatings each night. We are hidden inside our sister restaurant, Phuket Cafe, on NW 23rd Place & Thurman.Reservations are released in one-month blocks. Bookings become available at noon on the 15th for the following month. (I.e., January reservations become available on the 15th of December.)

    The duck was amazing. Vol au vent was also really yummy. Escargot and oysters were really well prepared. Beet salad and steak tartare also really good. Had dinner with friends and shared everything. Would recommend for friends with open tastebuds. So good.

    WOW. Just WOW! This was hands down one of the best dining experiences of my entire life! The quality of the food at LangBaan was absolutely extraordinary. I keep trying to pick a favorite dish, but honestly, I can’t. Everything was that good. The Chef’s Table experience was worth every penny! The Scallops in Coconut Cream, Beef Cheek Curry, and Black Cod were particularly unforgettable. My goodness! And while the food alone would have made this an incredible experience, there was so much more to appreciate. I found myself completely fascinated by the kitchen and watched the team whenever I had the opportunity. The way they moved together was something special: coordinated, precise, seemingly effortless, and clearly the result of an incredible amount of skill and teamwork. Watching that level of execution was an experience in itself. The service was equally exceptional. Every server we encountered was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. They made us feel comfortable and taken care of from beginning to end. LangBaan is doing something really special. The cuisine is creative and artistic, but never at the expense of flavor. Every dish feels thoughtfully crafted, yet still delivers the kind of bold, memorable flavors that make you stop mid-bite and appreciate what you’re eating. I will absolutely be back, and I would recommend LangBaan without hesitation to anyone who appreciates inventive, beautifully executed food and an all-around extraordinary dining experience. An absolute gem. Go. Get the Chef’s Table. You can thank me later!
