Our restaurant offers a selection of quality meals prepared with the best produce available. Lunch is available Friday to Sunday and dinner Wednesday to Monday. On Tuesday the bistro is closed, woodfire pizza is served in the Brigadoon Bar. In March 2022 we revamped the dining space and renovated to include a new kitchen. At the same time a new Head Chef joined our team. Regulars love the new menus which change almost daily. Menu options are available for larger parties with the group menus proving very popular in the private dining room as well as the restaurant. When we finally see some sun the spacious beer garden offers other possibilities.Situated halfway between Sydney and Canberra the Bundanoon Hotel is ideally situated for friends, family or business gatherings and with 58 rooms available there's no need to drive home after a great night.

Mal, Dash and Ross opened the venue with naive ambition in 2018.Hosting a 24 seat dining room and small outdoor area we are located at the back of the local shops in Ainslie, Canberra. We have chosen to offer a tasting menu to all guests. The menus created by Malcolm Hanslow and Syed Rashid are inspired by our experiences, the people we have met and worked with and nostalgic dishes from times past.Most of all it is about our love for food, fun and great hospitality.Our entire beverage list by Kane Nelson is all Australian. It includes wine, beer, spirits, aperitifs and amari. Thursday evenings we allow BYO with all corkage sales going to a chosen organisation for the month. Our non alcoholic and cocktail program created by Tom Opie uses native ingredients, local produce and ingredients that would otherwise be considered waste. We also offer three optional pairings to accompany the tasting menus.

    Wonderful staff who catered to 8 of us including a 99 year old in a wheelchair who managed to spill her drink! 😭 Food was gorgeous and it is a favourite meeting place for us with people travelling from Sydney, Canberra and the South Coast.

    Not what we expected but we were pleasantly surprised. We had drinks during happy hour at the bar where the service was friendly. We then headed into the restaurant and were greeted by the friendly staff from the start to finish. They were knowledgeable and took pride in their work. The food was delicious and good portion sizing. We enjoyed 3 courses and great local wine. Highly recommended for a quaint little place tucked away. Parking was free under the hotel as well. It was raining so no need to walk outside. We will be back.

    Service couldn’t have been better. I was helped with a surprise cake and one of the workers excelled in helping me out - she seriously went above and beyond. I would have left a tip if I had cash. Super lovely environment and affordable, tasty food. Highly, highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a spot to eat.
