Oualie Beach Bar & Restaurant is open from 7.15am to 10pm serving breakfast, lunch and dinner 7 days a week and all year round. Cuisine focuses on fresh seafood using both local Caribbean flavours and international specialties. Local fruits are used to make in house drinks, sorbets and desserts. The restaurant is famous for Karen's conch chowder and Chef Ricky's fish pie. The Oualie traditional rum punch recipe was written down by Mrs H. Graham Yearwood in the late 1800's, an ancestor of the current owners.Oualie is one of the few restaurants that still offer live music. Tuesday nights are an absolute must with a jam session from 7-10 pm featuring an ecclectic combination of Jazz, Rock, Country and Reggae. Visiting musicians are encouraged to join in. In the busy Winter season there is usually a Lobster BBQ lunch on Sundays with live steel pan music followed by a jazz band.

A wonderful dining experience. The service was terrific, the food was outstanding and the ambience was world class. Make sure to sit outside to enjoy a breathtaking view of downtown Basseterre.

We had a nice dinner, the food was well seasoned and the atmosphere was relaxing. The band with the steel pan player and 2 singers was the highlight of our meal, they provided great entertainment throughout the evening!

The food was excellent, the best we tried on Nevis during our 9 day stay. The setting is secluded and beautiful, and has a great indoor-outdoor setup. The staff were also kind and very helpful as well!

We enjoyed everything about L’Escale. The staff, the service, the food, the ambience, all were outstanding! The reasonable wine list prices were a plus ! We will be back for sure!
