What a wonderful experience! Gaslamp is such a beautiful, intimate, and welcoming place. The atmosphere is lovely, the food is absolutely delicious, and the service is exceptional, with such thoughtful and personalized attention. Everything feels special from beginning to end. A truly memorable dining experience. 10/10! Highly recommended!

Wow! What a great time we had. I've always liked Goen here in Kailua but the last time we were there (@ a year ago) we were disappointed. The music choice over the restaurant's speaker was absolutely horrible. We asked the manager about this and he said it was what it was. hmmm. So, we gave it a try last night and WOW! What a huge difference! The service was fantastic, the food was amazing and the music?! SPECTACULAR! Little did we know that Goen has live music Monday-Wednesday for their Happy Hour! We caught the tale end of Hoku Zuttermeister! What a TREAT! Hoku is a many time Na Hoku Hanohano award recipient and I felt so honored that we were graced by his talent last night by chance! My husband and I declared that we will be 'regulars' at Goen from now on! The manager, Christian, has done an amazing job with his staff, ambience and food selection. Thank you!

Kalapawai is always a favorite for our family! We’ve been here many times and the food is consistently fresh, delicious, and the portions are great. They always have incredible specials, too, which makes it fun to try something different every time we go. Last night my husband and I both had the New York strip, which was perfectly seasoned and cooked exactly right. One of our kids had the ahi special, which was amazing, and my son always gets the De’Geevum burger, his favorite! The staff is also one of the reasons we keep coming back. The servers are genuinely some of the friendliest people you’ll ever meet, and they are always incredibly knowledgeable and accommodating with food allergies and sensitivities. My husband and I are both very sensitive to gluten, and we always feel comfortable eating here. Such a great local spot with consistently amazing food and wonderful people. Definitely one of our family favorites!
