The service was excellent! Amanda was the server. The noise and chosen music was horrible. Especially for late afternoon. The food was great. Loved the grilled cheese and tomato soup. The short rib of grilled cheese was also delicious. Our two friends had a salad with chicken. It was well made and enjoyed.

Everything we ordered here was delicious, from the salad, to our dinners to our dessert. The chicken and veal were perfectly cooked and so tender that they melt in your mouth. I recommend having dinner here before a show at the Palace Theater.

Fantastic good. Consistent with all the years of going there

We were looking for a local place that we "trusted" to bring some friends from Michigan who were visiting. We arrived right at Noon on a Friday and were quickly shown a nice table where we could have a "quieter" conversation. Our server was "Cailie" (SP?) and she was friendly, welcoming and open to answering some informal questions from our guests. As Midwesterners, they have a heightened casual interest in people they have just met. I must admit that, as Midwesterners ourselves, we share that trait although it has been somewhat tempered by living here in Connecticut for the last 14 years. Cailie was great, guiding us through the menu and getting us off to a great start. The food was very good; beet salad, a veggie "power bowl" a selection of starters that served as a "shareable" lunch. Truth be told, we did stay a long time and we did not feel pressured at all to move along. Calie checked on us unobtrusively several times; always "there" if we needed her but not goading us in any way. Her approach and the atmosphere itself made for a great visit with our friends. Because we stayed quite a while, we did slip our server an extra $20 simply because we felt that she really deserved it AND we might have kept her from some other lunch customers...although she never hinted at that. Overall, as we've known in the past, great place to bring guests and great for a nice lunch or dinner out. We'll be back again.

Really enjoyed the restaurant. So many menu options its hard to pick one. (Basically sets you up to return). The staff was great and the food was cooked perfectly.
