Over dit restaurant

This smart British brasserie, found in the town of Llanelli in south-west Wales, is a sleek and stylish addition to the local dining scene. Ideal for dates, family nights out and celebrations, the dining room at Langostinos Brasserie is decorated with dark wooden furniture, timber and stone feature walls, and cherry-coloured lamps giving the restaurant a cosy, intimate vibe. The menu here is modern British, and with its extensive wine list and wi-fi, Langostinos is also a great place for business lunches. Highlights from the menu include the seared carpaccio of Welsh beef with horseradish cream and roast beetroot, and the honey-roasted breast of duck with Chinese five spice, honey and plum sauce.

I am sorry to report this restaurant did not meet my expectations. I see from the one other review here this restaurant doesn't get opentable reviews. I suspect this is because their clientelle are not opentable regulars and locals in Llanelli. The steaks are overcooked and not as discribed. The waitors argue this with their customers and do not present a good raport at all. The only good part of my meal was the stilton butter. I will not be dining in here again and would not recommend to opentable customers. They need to satisfy the needs of a better class of dining experience.

The food was very tasty and my son described the lamb as the best he'd ever had. A little disappointed with the size of the portions relative to the price. No free bead rolls was a little disappointing. Overall a good experience.

As a family of four we revisited Langostinos Brasserie in Llanelli, and we had a very good meal. The menu provides a good choice to satisfy 12 to 83 year olds and desserts were really scrummy! Only criticism was booking for 6p.m. meant that they really hadn't geared up for customers and service was a little slow to begin with. It was also a little quiet! Still, a very good evening!

We were very pleasantly surprised by the variety of choice available on the menu. Our starters were excellant but totally eclipsed by our main courses. My husband opted for the red snapper . He said that it was one of the best fish dishes that he had ever had . My steak was equally delicious, cooked just as I requested. Both portions were very generous indeed. Our desserts and coffees were equally delicious . We will definately go back again

Langostinos Brasserie proved to be a very enjoyable way to use our points! The service was very warm and friendly and the chef was chatting to people who were obviously regulars. Lots of choice on the menu. Can highly recommend the goat's cheese beignets and steaks. Look forward to our next trip ( esp on a Thu night where there is a free bittle wine per 2 diners!)
