We are located in a 1795 Colonial with small dining rooms, fireplaces and beautiful Vermont ambience. Our success over 33 years can be attributed to consistently excellent food. As your chef, I cook every meal and oversee every aspect of our kitchen. We specialize in American Contemporary with a focus on the highest quality, local Vermont ingredients. Our main dishes always include premium grass fed beef, duck two ways, double thick pork chop, rack of lamb, cedar planked salmon, jumbo sea scallops and vegan specials. Desserts are made in house daily by Leslie and are both unique and delicious.

Our service is directed by Leslie, my wife. She greets every guest and is constantly monitoring the dining experience. We like to think we are the total dining experience as evidenced by our being one of the highest graded restaurant in New England on Open Table (2017-2019)

Leslie’s was a great place to enjoy a great meal, great service and friendly staff. Chef owned and his wife who is the bartender and takes care of the restaurant service and staff. We had an inversion wonderful experience and will definitely come back again. Great music by Bobby D.

We both ordered filet mingnon. It was “ok”. We have paid less for better cuts elsewhere.

We had a wonderful dinner at Leslie’s Tavern. The service was excellent! Warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The atmosphere in the 1795 Colonial building is charming and intimate, perfect for a date night. I tried the Cranberry Smash cocktail and it was outstanding. For entrées, we ordered the Filet and the New York Strip. Both were cooked perfectly, with great texture and well-prepared sides. The only small note is that the steaks could have used a touch more seasoning (a little salt would have really elevated an already very good dish). We truly appreciate the emphasis on high-quality, local Vermont ingredients and the care that goes into every plate. Overall, we had a great evening and will absolutely dine there again. The experience far outweighed the minor seasoning note, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit.

Really lovely space in an old tavern in Vermont. Food was extremely good for the location and the service was pleasant and welcoming.

The staff, food and charm of this restaurant is wonderful. Leslie, herself, is a sweetheart and greets every table. Our waiter was fun and knowledgable. The best is the food!

Waitress was so drunk she left work before our meal arrived. Replacement waiter had to retake the order because first slip was unreadable by kitchen staff. 2 steaks were fine, 2 chicken orders were both stone cold meat with a warm sauce and left uneatened. Wow, what a show with sadly a $196 bill for 4.

An excellent experience with friends. The food and atmosphere were superb! We felt like royalty. Leslie spoke to us like family. We enjoyed wine and conversation along with a gourmet meal in exquisite surroundings. Thank you!

Took a little drive in search of upscale, great food with a casual dress code. Leslie’s checked off all the boxes. Charming owner, top notch food. Worth the drive.
