In good weather, the Duck Inn’s cozy patio, with its mix of high tops and tables, is the perfect place to dine. Inside dining, alongside faded exposed brick walls, is equally cozy any time of the year. The draw here is, quite obviously, the duck—especially the inn’s signature rotisserie duck, which diners need to order ahead of time. But patrons who don’t know to preorder can still sate their duck craving with the restaurant’s duck wings in Japanese bbq sauce. They’re a unique take on chicken wings and definitely qualify as some of the best wings in Chicago.

The suave, polished dining room of Carson’s, uniform with its black banquettes, white chairs and tablecloths, and wood accents, definitely says “steakhouse.” And though it seems almost too formal for the myriad BBQ choices on its menu, diners also love it for its ribs and Mediterranean pork chop. Included in that love are the chargrilled Mediterranean wings, made with lemon and served with a homemade blue cheese sauce. They’re available on both the lunch and dinner menus. Fingers will get dirty, and that’s more than okay.
