Superb food, exquisitely presented. Food is as good as it gets and they went out of their way to accommodate four different dietary preferences across our table. Presentation has gotten more polished over the years. While we liked it better when there was a story behind the meal, it is still one of our favorite restaurants in London. More

My wife and I had lunch at The Rose, and it was great from start to finish. The service was friendly, the pub itself had a great atmosphere and played excellent music, and the food was outstanding. I ordered the classic burger and my wife the sausage and mash - really outstanding quality - we enjoyed both. When we’re next in town, we will definitely stop back in for a meal. More

This is our favourite restaurant in Borough Market and we were not disappointed. We all love seafood and fish and everything we ate was perfectly cooked and lovely flavours The lady who served us was very good at her job and looked after our every wish and more. We were looking for somewhere to have fantastic food that would be fairly quiet. I booked through Open Table and saw the mushroom croquettes on the menu. They were even better than I’d hoped for! The service was good and the rest of the food was excellent. More

I dined here recently with two friends. We were all very impressed with our meals, I had prawns in garlic with sour dough bread to start. For the main course I chose the sea bass with baby potatoes and crunchy leeks which was delicious and my friends enjoyed the turbot with sea vegetables. The restaurant was unusually quiet when we visited mid week and we were able to sit and chat over another bottle of wine and guzzle down desserts later on. Extremely helpful staff managed my nut allergy without any drama. I will definitely return again and recommend to others. More

We decided to do brunch here with my sister on Sunday. we do not have the opportunity to see each other a lot and wanted to do something special just the 2 of us. The view of London is absolutely beautiful, the food is delicious and the service fantastic. it is pricey for a Sunday brunch but very well worth it. we spent 2 hours and decided to leave (already full) without having dessert as we had other plans for the afternoon but had a really lovely time. great experience. not for every Sunday but would love to come back another time for another special occasion. Gunpowder is hands down my favourite restaurant in London. The food is incredible. We've visited the Spitalfields restaurant many times before, but this was our first visit to the Tower Bridge branch.It was NYE, and even though the restaurant was fully booked,the food was still absolutely amazing and the service was great. The FOH staff are also lovely - our friends arrived with 2 cases of beer (as we were off to a party afterwards) and they offered to put them in the fridge for us! Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. More

I took my boyfriend here for his birthday, neither of us had been before and he was taken back by the awesome view across east London. The drink prices are a lot but as others have said before me, it’s the ambience your paying for. Although I’ve scored the food 5 we did not dine, but we did receive complementary nibbles with our drinks. More

Relatively new Chinese restraunt in borough close to the market, lots of seating and an upstairs, good wines etc and a lovely selection of food choices. Very good service throughout our visit. The portions are very generous and perhaps we didn’t need the extra sides of chips and hispi cabbage, but both were very good. We shared some bread and short rib croquettes to start and followed with cod and pork cutlet mains, both cooked on the wood fire. Every thing was very good. Too full to try dessert! Very long wine list with prices a bit on the high side with little choice much below £40 a bottle, but that seems to be the norm in London restaurants now. The Italian white we had was perfect. Great location near The Bridge theatre and I noticed that they have a very reasonable 3 course pre theatre menu at £24, about the price of some mains on the a la carte menu. Recommended. More

The food was very good and so were the cocktails. The only real downside is that none of the staff smile! When I asked if we could be sat downstairs the lady almost signed. The gentleman serving us did not smile. It was very strange. Very casual place that looks quite cool. It was quiet when we arrived but was fairly noisy by the time we left. I would recommend the place if you like a good atmosphere and tasty food. More

We wanted somewhere to watch the formula 1 race and have a bite to eat with a drink. We were wowed by the amazing venue of awesome space, screens and sound. (There’s even speakers and a tv in the bathroom so you don’t miss anything from your favourite sport😅) The staff were great and Skye was very friendly and accommodating. I didn't know the place exist! It was fabulous. Great view, lovely food, lovely staff, a tiny bit expensive on the alcohol. I just wish they have something with custard as their pudding 😘 This is GREAT place to take friends, family and colleagues for brunch, lunch and dinner. Wish l had gone for the Butchers cut as my fillet was sadly not up to scratch! That is the only gripe as we all enjoyed the rest of the fare, although it was a bit pricey! The atmosphere was great and the service was impeccable. The pianist and the singer was a nice touch and worked well as did televising the Eye firework display. Overall a very enjoyable NYE! More
