Founded by restaurateur Marno McDermott and former Green Bay Packers player Max McGee in 1975, Chi-Chi's quickly became a beloved staple in the American dining scene. Initially opened in Richfield, Minnesota, the restaurant stood out with its vibrant Mexican "eatery" concept, enticing guests with family dining in a Mexican garden atmosphere and offering superb food and pitchers of margaritas. everything was excellent! Lovely there was rose petals on the table, a glass each of champagne and dessert on the house. All very nice!

It was our daughter's birthday and Lat 14 was her choice. We always start with the basil chicken wings (my favorite chicken wings anywhere), garlic green beans and sticky rice (to soak up the sauce from the beans). I usually get the Tom Yum Ramen (my favorite version of ramen outside of Japan) but we opted to share the Drunken Noodles, the Confit Duck Leg and Steak Laab. The steak was new to us but will clearly become a regular item for us.
