Lussmanns Harpenden, in an 18th century former coach house overlooking Leyton Green, is the locals’ favourite sustainable restaurant. In the summer, guests can enjoy alfresco dining in the charming, walled garden while the characterful and cosy brick-built brasserie is ideal for winter meals. The regularly changing Modern European menu, available for as little as £20.95 for two courses, showcases the best of British ingredients, including organic and free-range meat, sustainably sourced fish and seasonal fruit and vegetables. Our first-floor private dining room is the ideal event venue for special occasions, family celebrations or business dinners.

The year 1971 is significant in the history of Bangladesh. it was Bangladeshi Liberation War, known as the 'Bangladeshi war of Independence Day' took place. That's when Bangladesh became its own independent country. Thè 1971, Bangladeshi Cuisine now aims to honour that history and legacy while celebrating the historical contribution of our Bangladeshi ancestors in their sacrifice for freedom and independence and the many benefits passed down through the generations until today. Many people are not aware of the fact that out of the 8500 Indian restaurants in the Uk today, approximately 7200 are actually run by brilliant Bangladeshis. Thè 1971 is about to change all of that, as we became pioneers in highlighting the legacy and contribution of Bangladeshis in the restaurant/catering industry. We thank you for loving our cuisine so much and we hope that the next time you enjoy a hearty curry, you will remember the legacy and contributions of the Bangladeshi people.

The Sunday lunch had been on the list for a while and it didn’t disappoint! Across the group we ordered all the roast meat offerings, cauli cheese and stuffing - all exceptional! The cauli cheese was the standout accompaniment. The staff were very friendly and service bang on 👏👏

Locals set menu is such good value! The beef starter was stunning, followed by the Pork, we added mashed potatoes and the chocolate mouse. Absolutely gorgeous, highly recommend

Fantastic service, great food lovely decor cosy and relaxed posh place to dine in. My wife love the vibe in the restaurant, They do lovely cocktails. I saw on the newspaper they are an award winning restaurant in the whole of Hertfordshire top 100 in the uk this was a nice touch the dry ice they do. Highly recommend Thank you
