We opened our first restaurant in Castlefield, Manchester in 2004 with a clear aim: To deliver quality food to local customers at a reasonable price in a sharp, modern space with friendly, unpretentious service. Hidden gem - within enjoyable short walking distance of Samlesbury Hall. We visited for lunch mid-week for an event at the Hall. Very pleasantly surprised at the quality of menu on offer. Felt carefully thought-out with the usual classics, plus few creative dishes. Very pretty, roomy dining room, lovely friendly staff. Will defo return next time in the area :)

Great professional staff. They were attentive without intruding. We were impressed by their knowledge of the menu and that they were able to describe the dishes that weren't self-explanatory on the menu. Our party was made up of people who were intolerant of wheat, shellfish and diary and we all managed to find something that we enjoyed. Great ambience with a roaring log burner. There was a large party in the same room as us and we were told that we could move if we wished, which we appreciated. We didn’t move as I’m sure we were as lively as they were at times!!
