The Butcher’s Daughter is a plant-based restaurant, cafe, juice bar and “vegetable slaughterhouse." We treat fruits and vegetables as a butcher would meat: We chop, fillet and carve fresh produce into healthy vegetarian dishes and press them into pretty juices. We are a first come first serve all day restaurant. Walk-ins of all party sizes are encouraged at any time!Our journey started on a quiet West Village street called Carmine. Two brothers, Dave and Pete, made a bold decision. Without any business experience, any real plan, or anything resembling a thought beyond getting through the day, we opened a restaurant. What we had lacked in experience we made up for with spirit and creativity. We did not want to be businessmen. We were artists. Our little shop at 33 Carmine St. was our original canvas. We set out with a simple mission: to create a place where people would want to be. We named it after our dogs, Moose and Goose Lane. Our Nolita location opened four years later in 2011.

Ma·dé is a new restaurant in New York City that serves a menu of fresh seafood and vegetable-centric dishes that emphasize global flavors and ingredients from diverse corners of the world. The restaurant is owned and operated by chef Cédric Vongerichten, his wife Ochi Latjuba Vongerichten, and their business partner Ezra J. William. The restaurant is located in the heart of SoHo at 22 Spring Street just next door from their beloved Indonesian restaurant Wayan (which translates to “first born” in Balinese). The restaurant's interiors are warm yet bright and airy, inspired by the elegant style of Bali's coastal beach bars. The menu is a passport of sorts, stamped by various flavors from across the world. The intimate 25-seat Soho restaurant is like the cool little sister (and next-door neighbor) to Wayan. “Wayan” translates to first-born in Balinese and, accordingly, “Ma•dé” means second born.
