For twenty years, we have lived and traveled the world. We are often surprised and inspired by the food we have eaten along the way. Fantastic service, great atmosphere, and the food was terrific! The outside is unassuming but inside you'll find it warm and super hospitable. The wine selection is excellent and the service is fantastic. I'll be back for sure!

The service here is always outstanding, and the food is the best in Glenwood South. Their mimosas went up from $3 to $4 (inflation?), but still a steal. Their granola bowl + home fries are my go-to for something bad/not so bad for brunch, and my partner ALWAYS does their big breakfast plate and tears it up. One thing - be sure to get a reservation early - they fill up quickly (the space isn't huge).

We had a great birthday brunch for a friend at Plates Kitchen. I put in the reservation notes there was a bday and they acknowledged it and brought a nice little dessert with candle after the meal. The brunch food and spicy bloody Mary’s were excellent. I will definitely go back to Plates.

Everything was great. I visited on a cloudy weekday for lunch so it wasn’t crowded. Weekend brunch is much more crowded and noisier. Menu is awesome. Good selection of brunch and lunch items.

My daughter and I had brunch today at Plates. It was a first time visiting. Our reservation was at 10am. We were seated promptly. I had the challah bread french toast with apple butter , mascarpone and maple syrup and a side of fruit. My daughter had the BEC breakfast sandwich with home fries. Our food was delicious and our waiter was attentive. We will definitely be back!

Having Plates as a neighbor, and a short walk, means we eat there a lot and we wouldn’t if it wasn’t a great place. If you plan on brunch on the weekends, make sure you get a reservation. Extremely popular on weekends for a reason.

I attended a Wild Game and Spirits dinner at Plates and had an amazing time. The Bar Manager and Chef did a wonderful job of explaining the pairings and the food and drinks were divine. Hope to return when they do their next special event! I used to be a regular for daily lunch and brunch as well, and have never been disappointed. Don’t miss a chance to visit. Thanks for a lovely evening, Plates Kitchen crew!

Such a nice experience. We made a reservation which I totally recommend doing. They gave my parents free champagne for their anniversary. Staff was very attentive and food was very fresh!

I've been going to Plates for years and generally love it. Have brought / introduced many friends there. This particular dinner I got a glass of wine that was disappointing. The owner came out himself and actually helped me find a couple of options that were terrific. I already love this place - the people and the food, but the amount of personal service I received was exceptional! Thanks, Justin!

Plates is a delight! They deliver on lip smacking cocktails that are worth the indulgence. The lobster beignets were the stuff of dreams. The spaghetti squash was a surprise and satisfying and savory in every way. Get it with the shrimp- scrumptious! The flounder was pitch perfect! From the moment you walk in the door, you know you're in for a treat!
