Quiessence is a fine dining, true farm to table restaurant located at The Farm at South Mountain, a 10 acre oasis by South Mountain. We have a 2 acre organic garden onsite that we utilize as much as possible for our dishes. Our menu changes regularly based on local and seasonal availability. We offer tasting menus with the option of doing 3, 4 or 5 courses. The restaurant itself is housed in the original farmhouse of the property giving the restaurant plenty of rustic charm. Patio dining is also highly sought after when the weather is nice.

The Quiessence signature Brick Oven experience is an exclusive private eight-course dinner under the gazebo next to a working fireplace. With all ingredients straight from the garden, the fresh flavors of the farm shine through in our contemporary spin on traditional culinary techniques. During your meal, the Quiessence team will educate you on the dishes available that night, the origin of the ingredients and their preparation, and which cocktails or wine pair perfectly with your exceptional meal. Please note, the Brick Oven is available for only one reservation each night, for two to six guests. 185 per person plus 20% service charge.

This restaurant was EXCEPTIONAL as always. It deserves a Michelin star. Outstanding service and the food was AMAZING. One of my favorite restaurants in town. You can't go wrong with this restaurant.

During a visit to Phoenix we heard about Quiessence and its special farm to table menu. It was a fantastic experience. From service to food the dining experience was memorable. A must visit for foodies who want a gourmet fresh and innovative dining experience.

Came here to celebrate my anniversary and it was great service and a beautiful quaint atmosphere. Food portions are small and curated so definitely order multiple dishes if doing à la carte. I will be coming back seasonally to try their seasonal variety!

This is the second time I have dined there. I always choose the multicourse menu and every single item is incredible. It’s not an inexpensive dining experience, but it is so good. The food is not only excellent and taste. It’s beautifully presented. It’s like art I had my first lovely dining experience with my boyfriend and he loved it as much as I did. I plan to come back regularly. I drive down from Flagstaff just to eat here and go to the museum. It’s a perfect perfect day. The staff is incredible. Absolutely incredible all around. I encourage you when you have a chef like this to try as many things as you can be as adventurous as you can be it’s a wonderful, wonderful, rewarding dining experience. I am a fan for life.

From the moment I called asking if we were in the right place they were so wonderful, accommodating. And was already saying, happy anniversary. Started with a toast with some bubbly champagne. Loved our server Faith, she was so energetic. The food was phenomenal and we had a tour of the kitchen which we have never been asked before. The executive chef was down to earth but made the most delicious food. If back in Arizona we will definitely be back ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The seating outdoors was very nice. The ambience was beautiful and the weather was ideal. Our server, Faith, was very enthusiastic and cheerful, and gave us great advice. We decided on 3-course meals with bread service and dessert. That was a good choice, as we were pleasantly full at the end – and we were there for almost 3 hours! They knew it was our wedding anniversary and provided 2 free glasses of champagne, which was a nice touch. (They even gave my wife a non-alcoholic champagne, as she didn't want alcohol, and she really liked it.) I also ordered the watermelon/strawberry margarita, which was excellent – like bottled summer. It went well with the gazpacho amuse-bouche. The zucchini soup was marvelous, and the presentation was superb. Such a variety of tastes in each spoonful! The agnolotti came next, and they were amazing – the pairing with the duck confit and all the other tastes made it something to savor. We took our time with that, but it tasted so good, we could not slow down much. During the pause they helped clear our palate with a hibiscus sorbet, which was so good, I wanted to find out where to get something like it elsewhere. Then came the main, the Cornish hen leg. (The other choices were salmon or ribeye steak.) It was fabulous, pairing well with my Pinot Noir. The skin on the leg was both delicate and crunchy (and tasty!) at the same time. Again, the mix with the other tastes on the plate was inspired. Something else to really savor. While we were waiting for our desserts, they gave us a tour of the kitchen, which was fun. As soon as we entered, everyone greeted us. Faith took us to each station, and the people working there talked to us briefly and asked us questions. They seemed genuinely interested in our reaction to the food we'd eaten. The desserts (foie gras macaroon and bread pudding) arrived soon after we got back to the table, and they were wonderful. The perfect ending to a perfect evening. It was a memory that we will treasure.
