Our experience with 39 Rue de Jean was a pleasant one. Our service was outstanding. The scallop pasta dish was absolutely delicious. We ordered a steak and unfortunately it came out charred on one side but the manager was very quick to take it off of our bill. Wine selection was excellent and the wine we had was fantastic. Overall a wonderful experience and we will be back.

Wonderful place for a nice meal! Food was delicious, service was great and the manager walked us through a wine experience which was amazing. Thank you again for a wonderful dining experience. Will definitely be back here when in town!

The 39 Rue de Jean experience was wonderful. The atmosphere was amazing, food was spectacular, and the staff was great.

Food was great but service was very slow. Waited about 2 hours for the entree. Luckily we weren’t in a rush and food was delicious and worth the wait. Would recommend if you’re not looking for a fast dinner.

The whole experience was bad, we were seated before they asked if we had a reservation we ordered a Caesar Salad to split and it was so spicy they took it off the bill. We both ordered Filet Mignon with potatoes Au Gratin , The Filet was pretty good but the potatoes were cold. The service was terrible, it was almost an hour before we were served the entree. All in all very disappointing.

On a quiet Monday evening, my party of three very much enjoyed this lovely, bistro-style dining room and our excellent service. Roast rabbit with a cheeky side of whole carrots made us giggle; the shrimp and pasta dish was savory and enormous; and my mussels in red curry sauce was tangy and quite generous for only $14. Warm sliced French bread was replaced when empty. Our booth was spacious and comfortable. Lighting was perfect.

Service was great. The host and server was very friendly and prompt. The food just isn’t that good. I had a NY Strip that was just OK. My wife had a crispy flounder that was overly breaded. Escargot appetizer was unremarkable. In their defense, this is a french restaurant and as such uses sauce on practically everything, which is true for every other french restaurant at which I’ve dined.
